    Guys, I just fufilled a life long dream. I'm about to be officially a part of the Ferrari family. I've been reading this site probably for 10 or 15 years and I know many of you by your handles just from reading and taking notes of what you've posted and I immesely respect your knowledge. Don't laugh but when I was a kid and first saw Don Johnson turn the keys over in the 86 white TR I said to myself I'm going to own a Ferrari one day.

    I've been obsessed and possessed learning about the brand and the history I'm an F1 fan to. I do quite well in the business I'm in, I started 7 years ago. First I had to buy the wife a house, then came 2 kids, then we had to have daily drivers like Mercedes and BMWs to keep her happy, then a boat. Well gentleman making pretty good these days I decided at 42 it was time to make my dream come true. I made my first Ferrari purchase.

    2013 Italia red with black roof, shields, nero interrior with red stitching just over 2,300 miles. I'm literrally here shaking because the dealer just called and said the wire transfer went through and the car should be at my house Friday or Saturday after detail and some prep work with the battery. I'm not straight on all the options but its a beautiful car in mint condition.

    I'll be totally honest geek. I've only had this feeling a few times in my life. A few times at Christmas was I was a kid, when I went to see Star Wars for the first time in 78 and the first time I got laid.

    I'm just humbled to be in this family & can't believe it will be home this weekend!

    Hah, had the same feeling when I picked up my first Ferrari 2014 458 10 days ago. I'm 53. Congrats and enjoy.

    Congrats. Ill throw down the gauntlet to try and enjoy it, i.e. drive it on a a regular basis. I bought my first Ferrari when I was 33 and I was a nervous wreck about it all the time so after 12 months I sold it. Several cars later and a few other exotics I'm back in a 458 and enjoy it much more as a regular car. To the store, out to dinner, even to the golf course (yes clubs fit in the front seat) and of course to the track once in a while. Its a great car if you forget about how expensive they are and not baby them too much!

    Congratulations on achieving the dream.
    Reading your post and many similar posts of Ferrari owners, I don't think you hear owners of any other brand talk so passionately about their cars. I don't know if any others cars bring out the same feelings and emotions that a Ferrari can.
    Enjoy the car, it's an absolutely phenomenal vehicle.
