This sounds like BS. I am with the others who are skeptical of this story. More likely these are his father's cars.

I'm 25 with a 2012 turbo s. Got that way from a prop trading firm/RIA I started.

If OP had an app, he would want to get attention to that app any way he could (like my above statement). I call BS. If I had an app that made money, I'd market the hell out of that thing. Traffic drives sales in the online world. More people see your product, the more likely someone will pay that dollar to download, or download for free and you generate revenue from ads.

Also I don't think any true somewhat intelligent entrepreneur would blow their cash on a 458 right off the bat. Usually the first step is to get a home for yourself, grow your business, invest, have cash saved, THEN spend the rest on whatever you want. Especially if your family is relying on your income, and the app business is quite fickle unless you just invented the next angry birds.

Agreed, there are a lot of these stories which, I think are nonsense. Others you get are people saying they're young kids and they want to know what you do and how much you earn etc. to get your cars. I'm constantly surprised that people take them seriously.

 

I had a feeling from the beginning this would happen with this thread. My initial gut feeling was skepticism.

 

Car is paid, sorry. I don't like debt. But even if I did finance it, what's wrong with paying 2% interest? If the Fed wants to keep rates low so money is cheap why not take advantage of it? The fact that you make such an ignorant comment also discredits yourself as someone who is not financially sound, you don't even understand basic economics/finance. As I said before, buy a home, build your business, invest, keep some tucked away for emergency, then you can have a stash of cash for fun. Also make sure if your family relies on you that you have a pool of money just for them in case your app plateaus. I'm done with this joker. Have fun guys .
