My first Ferrari model -F40 Monte Shell

    I posted this on some modeling forums, thought I would share it here for the model enthusiasts.

    This is Tamiya's Monte Shell kit. I added some braided hose, hose connectors, photo etched clamps for the intercoolers, Scale Motor Sport photo etch set, SMS kevlar for the tub and seat, etc.

    The computers on the bottom were scratch built and I added some Top Studio electrical connectors. The exuast was sprayed with Alclad II polished aluminum then detailed

    It's going pretty smooth so far.

    thats where I'm at now. Waiting on some factory color matched paint from the UK before I go further.

    love the heat patterns on the exhaust plus the seat wear marks from the belts and such. Very nice.

    you're having fun, that's cool :)
    i've had also good luck in using ink washes to dis-color and age look of parts, which fits a race car very well IMO
