Well after many years of saving and putting other priorities in order the day has arrived. The driver called today and we are set up to have the car delivered tomorrow (Sunday) at noon. I have tried to remain calm, but now it's like I'm a kid again waiting for Christmas day!

The car has 401 miles on it. How many miles do I need to put on it before the engine is broken in, or should it be good to go?

This forum is full of information and I would be lost without it. Thanks again to all that have helped me through this process. Now please let the Nuevo Rosso Scuderia be an awesome color.

I will post pics as soon as I can.

Now it's off to bed to try and get to sleep.

Make sure you request no watches or belts, before the driver gets in to pull your car out. Just to prevent any accidental scratches.

Oh yes. and here is another little tip. Take off your seatbelt slowly. If you unbuckle it at whip it off, good chance that thing will fly around and hit the carbon fibre door - and nick it.

I learned this quickly, because the previous owners did this to my 360. The driver's side door pocket was chipped pretty bad, but got it repainted for free with my front bumper respray. Make sure you tell passengers you give rides to every time to remind them.

Got the car today, it is awesome! The color is great and it's just sexy as can be. I really can not believe how much attention it gets. It's just crazy.

    So two things.

First is I cannot get it up the driveway. Tried both ways and no go. I'm going to see what I need to do to build some kind of ramp. The car is low, but I thought it would make it. So it's in my uncles garage for the next day or so till I can figure how to make it up the driveway.

Now the other problem is the driver did wrap the car in a heavy plastic and left rub marks ALL OVER the car. I tried a small area to see if it would come off with speed shine and no luck. They said they would pay for it to be cleaned and polished out by a professional. I just hope it's not through the clear coat. I'm taking it to buddy of mine that owns a body and paint shop to see what he thinks. At the end of the day if he can get it back to new and I mean new then everything is good. It is a shame that a car with just 400 miles looks this bad on delivery.

A few pictures that show how bad it rubbed. It is basically this bad on all the high spots on the car. The last one is with my mother-in-law.

Its a special car...congrats. Don't let the minor issues on arrival get you down. It will (to use a phrase!) "buff out" or someone will be making it right for you!

    Enjoy.

Wow, I just thought they draped some plastic over it? Looks like they tried to shrink wrap it. Must have not been perfectly clean. Some polish with a PC and red or black pads should get that out. Mine is supposed to coming with the factory car cover on.

Did you ship enclosed, or open? Who was the shipper?

Great looking car. That should be able to be polished out but whoever did the original job of installing the wrap (or removing it) did a really poor one. That shouldn't happen.

400 miles... the previous owner was an idiot. But, his stupidity is in your benefit. :)

It was enclosed. He told me that he put the plastic over it because he had a race car that was leaking oil over it. The plastic was a thick mil plastic that you would hang during a construction phase to keep the dust in one room.

To be fair I'm going to hold off on naming the company till everything gets worked out.

Congrats on the new Ferrari.....but I gotta ask, the passenger door looks like a different shade ?? Has it been painted or is just me......not being a basher but it really struck me at first glance. Either way she's a sweet ride.

The plastic reacted to the clear coat or trapped moisture. What he did was a big boo boo. Let's hope it can be professionally polished.

Looks like he put the plastic over the oil that had already dripped on your car? I would call your lawyer just in case. You have a very spendy paint job. I would show this to Todd at Esoteric first.

Couldn't the race car have gone on the bottom level? The dealership should have also been a little bit more proactive, and watched where your car was being placed on the trailer.

Again, sorry you are having to go through this.

Well it sure looks that way, but I don't believe it has had any paint work. The paint changes color depending on where you stand and the light. I looked at another picture of the passenger side and it doesn't show. The bad thing is I can't go out to the garage and look! I feel I have a pretty good eye for repaint and I didn't notice any thing that made me believe that it has had any paint work on it. Here is a different view of the car and my mother-in-law.

Hopefully I'm wrong but check it out since you have the other pending issue. I'm still baffled by the arrangement of a Scud under a leaking Race Car! Would love to know who's call that was. Good Luck

Dude sweet ride!!!! You've been waiting for a loooong time. Another Tulsa dude bought a rossa corsa scud in Tulsa a few weeks ago.

You will need a paint correction I bet. Just get them to pay for it. I would have went ballistic.

Who is the driver so we know not to use that moron ever again.

You will need to buff all those scratches out of the clear.

I think it will be the sun but I must admit I'm not familiar with quite this effect, did the camera flash go off? Fingers crossed when you have a look properly.
What a bummer about the wrap marks, difficult to see in pictures but are they rub marks in the clear coat or something on top of the clear coat? Do you have any sort of clear bra in this area?

I'm sure the paint willl be good after a quick rub.

The driver has a few choices when hauling.
99% of the time they load them for as little movement as possible. As a customer do you want them inn your car at every stop unloading and reloading? The cars are situated and loaded so he touches them as little as possible.

I hope it's nothing but I'd prefer they don't get in and out 6 times while feathering it onto the tailgate to get it out of the way. It's very hard on cars. Sliding into the seat etc
