My 97 355 got delivered on Dec. 18th and I still go out to the garage everyday just to look at it and remind myself why I go to work. It snowed 3 days after I got it and I probably won't be able to get it back out on the road again for 3-4 monthes, but I'm working on all the little things every weekend to have it ready for spring.

I've had a lot of cool cars but this is the first Ferrari/exotic. It really seems like a different feeling to own.

 

The only cure is to DRIVE IT LIKE YA STOLE IT!!!!!!

 

if you do not feel this way....you do not own these cars long......you are not alone...and it will never go away...enjoy and good luck...with your weather...you have all the winter to clean it or caress it ...that is what I do

 

Congratulations Per. I too have had my share of, "cool," cars in the past, but I must admit that my Ferrari has affected me more and in different ways than any of the others. The good news (beside the fact that you have an awesome car in your garage) is that the smile never really goes away. Hope you enjoy your new car and welcome to the forum.

But we have to warn you:

Ferrari's are like eating peanuts. Once you have one, you cannot stop.

Enjoy it and drive it often as it was intended!

It’s been a year since I got mine and I still think about it every day and sometimes head out to the garage just to look at it.

 

Certainly not the only one that feels that way. I remember getting my 308 GTS QV (my first Ferrari) home and doing the same thing. Same thing when I got the 348 TS home. My childhood dream was to own a Ferrari at some point in my life. Now I own two. Still can't believe it.

Don't just brush by The Mayor's words of wisdom! These things are so addictive they should be sold by Rx only and regulated by the FDA.

 

I tought I was the only crazy one....finally pinched enough pennies aside and bought a 355 which I always dreamed of.

Instead of being satisfied and enjoying it, I'm now obsessing over buying another...I want a V12 456 so I could bring the wife and kids with me (but still keep the 355).

Addictive you say? Someone needs to do an intervention on me....it's like incurable at this point.

I have had mine a 1994 348 spyder for almost a month, and it sits on carpet in the garage under a bright red car cover that says FERRARI. The only problem is that I keep going into the garage and taking off the cover so I can look at it. I waited a long time to get mine and I dont think the thrill is ever going to wear off.
