My first Ferrari

    So, today I became the new owner of a 1985 308 GTS QV. It’s a Euro spec car, Nero over Crema and has just over 48k on the clock.

    Some issues, the tach doesn’t work, headlights came up and now won’t work, windows are slow, clock is in poor condition and it has the wrong mirrors. I've bought a new clock, bought the right mirrors (cost a fortune) and will have a look at the headlights and windows sometime over the next week. Good points are that it started first time, runs nice, paint is very nice (has had a bare metal respray) and interior is also nice. On the whole I’m over the moon with my first Ferrari, and cannot wait to drive her this summer.

    Absolutely love the Nero/cream 308 series. A Euro model is like icing on the cake! I have $50 that says you can't stay out of the garage for six hours LOL .Welcome to the ranks of ownership. congrats Brother!:)

    Hi Ryan,

    Congrats on the new car! I also recently bought an '85 QV :)

    A loot of your problems sound like just bad connector corrosion. I had similar headlight issues and I pulled the connectors and they were all white inside. A good cleaning and all better!

    Enjoy your new car!! Looks like great fun!

    You are a lucky man! Try some spray lubricant in the window channels. Worked great for my slow windows.
