I traded a 2015 Porsche 911 cabriolet at a Ferrari dealer and gave them really comprehensive records on the car, and two months later I got an email from the guy who bought it asking if I had any records on it -- they had just tossed or lost the folder. So while there may be a story or paper trail, it didn't necessarily make it through the owners and dealers with the car. Especially with that many owners ... and it's not uncommon for a 9-year old car to have had multiple owners. But if it's making you uncomfortable, just keep looking!

And whether you think it’s over the top to be so meticulous or not, people walk away from these cars for these reasons.

Yes, you want a car that you love but you also don’t want to find out afterwards that you have inherited a mess.

I bought my 2009 F430 in February of 2020. It had black calipers that I never liked, but the rest of the car I loved. So when I had an extra $1000 to spare, I repaint the calipers. I didn’t take it to the dealer and pay crazy money. I found the guy that repaints Image Unavailable, Please Login the calipers for the dealer. He came to my buddies detail/PPF shop and repainted them in yellow. I paid him cash and there is not receipt.
Look closely at the car and have a PPI done if you are concerned
