It left Corpus Christi today and should be in Baltimore on Saturday or Sunday. It's a 90TS with only 20500 miles and the last major was done at 19500 miles (10 years ago) So I won't be driving it much until after I pull it apart over the summer. It needs some good TLC, but I like to get to know my cars. I'm just fired up for my first.

Thanks everyone! I'll snap some pictures when it gets here. The PPI came back showing the motor is in good health, but the car needs some love. The fuel door relay is missing, which leads me to believe that the solenoid is probably bad. The fuel gauge is intermittent and the PO said in 2012 the cause was determined to the be float. (I'll be pulling everything apart and cleaning the connections and testing the electronics to be sure). The front bumper is missing chunk of fiberglass, so I'll be dusting off my body working tools and paint gun. And the interior... well I have lots of Leatherique on stand-by.

I'm the third owner now and I believe the first owner was the one to paint everything to match including the engine cover and targa top. The 2nd owner is in his 70's and is just not in the Ferrari mood I guess.

Way to go John! Welcome to the family and please share your experiences as you go through the various repairs (preferably with photos attached), so the rest of us can benefit from your labors. No shortage of information here either, so if you run into a wall, there is always someone here who has been there before you.

    Congratulations buddy, Henry

Well it's here and I'm overly excited. My 2 year old kept saying "vroom vroom car."

I'm going to have to go over it with a fine toothed comb because parts of it are rough. I can't wait though since I love getting to know my cars. :)

So I rubbed Leatherique rejuvenater in Sunday night. The seats were dry Monday morning, so I rubbed more in. They were dry again Monday at 5:30pm, so yet again I rubbed in more. I checked them at 9pm and they were dry again. They were dry in 3.5 hours! The seats have been seriously neglected. The one picture was taken after the 5:30 application, the other was at 9 showing it's dry. This going to take some time and they will need to be most likely need to be filled and then dyed. I had some seats in a 88 BMW M5 that looked just like that. I did the full Leatherique treatment to them. It took a lot of time and patience, but the end result looked great. Be glad the Fcar doesnt have a back seat!

Yeah, I did the same thing to my E36 M3 and even had to pull the covers off of the driver seat to replace the foam. It took a lot of time and patience and the BMW wasn't nearly as bad as this.

Sounds like you have been in deep before with seat restoration! We are on similar wavelengths...I have a 99 M3 vert (5spd) that I picked up a couple of years ago with 55K miles. Cosmetically, excellent, it just needed every rubber bushing replaced in the suspension. Nice driving car, but I would probably prefer the coupe.

I just got into F cars this year. This site is a great help for DIY folks like us! Enjoy the car and post pictures as you get the seats back in shape.

Congrats and welcome! As you work on the front bumper/spoiler, check on the louvers under the HVAC scoop. I got mine snagged on my driveway board and a few broke off after a couple times. They were probably beat up anyway. I made a pattern and replaced the panel with vinyl from a black office trash can. Check the parts suppliers and you will see none of this side are available, only the other side ;) (Too beat up) Works great and you can hardly tell unless you look in the wheel well. I made tabs to use the mounting points in the chassis. And I cut a grill in mine instead of louvers. The original is on the bench with gobs of JB weld. It will take more to cover the lost shards but the vinyl is great. Baked it in the oven to help flex it. No more snags. I also got Bridge-it curb ramps to use instead. Wicked heavy but great for the driveway apron slope. Going to lower my car a bit now on my new wheels but can't go too low. Enjoy and take that kid for a ride! :D Still in storage :( Oh yeah, try some saddle soap on the seats as you go. Don't want to seal in all that dirt!

I will thanks. I plan on getting it on the lift this weekend and looking at the bottom then. My painter is stopping by today to take a look at the bumper too. I might paint it myself, or depending on his prices this week, I'll have him do it.

Cover the whole car up except the bumper, then get your price! Hard to beat them up on the price, when they know its a Ferrari.
