My first ride in an F40!!!!!!!!!

    On Sat. at the SOVERN Classic car races at Pacific International Raceway, here in Washington, I got the ride of my life in my new favorite car, the F40. Steve Jenkins gave me a ride in his F40 on the track and if it wern't for the 1965 Ford Mustang pace car we would have gone a lot faster. But the best ride none the less. So I now do know for sure that I will be a future F40 owner!!!

    Damn...love that F40! If I owned an F40, Id definitley configure mine as stated below:

    1- Metallic Silver with lightly smoked front head lights
    2- LM wing
    3- Carbon Fiber Front lip Valence
    4- Original Exhaust of course!
    5- Momo RS GT Seats
    6- Sliding driver and passenger Plexi Windows
    7- HRE 540's w/ Rotara drilled Rotors

    Too much modding? Not imo hehe.

    Remember that the F40 is centre nut wheels. I think HRE might struggle with that. The OZ magnessios are a better bet. For the brakes, you will want to use the Brembo big brake kit as a lot of R&D has gone into the cooling vanes and the standard brake booster/pedals work perfectly. For the exhaust, you really need the Tubi. The sound is from another world. The rest of your ideas I have nothing to add!!!

    I have 18 " HRE 547's on my F40. They make them specifically for the F40 hub.
    They show off the F40 disc brake very clearly, whereas the original pentagram hid most of the brake.

    Congrats! You'll never forget your ride in a F40, I guarantee that!
    I've ridden in 13 different models of Ferraris and there is no doubt that the F40 is the most exciting I've ever ridden in.

    Cool! They are such great cars, fitting 40th Anv. present from Enzo to Enzo. I remember R&T's article when they first came out because they almost never got that excited about any new car. Still, 20 years later, one of the all time best ever.
