Texas has a Dead Zone offshore caused by the freshwater run off into the Gulf, similar to what the Mississippi River causes annually off the coast of Louisiana......

Now if you want spiders, then Lake Livingston is your place. We evacuated to Waterwood Estates on south Lake Livingston for Katrina and that place was right out of the movie Arachnaphobia! I F'N HATE MOTHER F'N SPIDERS!!!!!!!! The first place I thought of when I saw the pics of the tornado..er..trailer park. Dave
