    That's all I have to say. My girlfriend was given a gourd to paint from her mother. Heck, I don't think I've seen a gourd before and after searching for what to paint, I found there is almost a cult following for gourd painters out there.

    Last night, instead of playing GT4, we painted and painted before we head over to their place this weekend. Mine is the night sky side, her's is the day sky side. And it has been too long since I've picked up a paintbrush.

    She thinks I will not post this up here, but I'm going to go ahead and do it. So... reply and tell me something artsy you've done OR... come up with a better title for this thread: "Arrr! Thar be gourds in here!"

    I think it was Hemmingway that once said:

    It is one thing to paint a Gourd... It is another thing entirely to admit to painting a Gourd :)

    Now if you would have painted a Ferrari on one of them - we could honestly think that you have not gone all Granola on us ;)

    Randy, you must be out of your... nevermind to easy.

    I think Randy must have it pretty bad for this bonnie lass. First he's PM'ing me and IM'ing me about where to get NASCAB tickets because she's a fan and wants to go to a race, and now he's doing arts and crafts. :)

    It is daunting work to get a piece of .... errr Gourd...

    I think Randy needs to grow a pair of errr. Gourds and not have to play arts and crafts to get some err... Gourd..

    Honestly - I could have fun with this one for weeks...

    I know everyone is kidding, for the most part that is. But after all, it is for the girlfriend's mother, right? Now if it was painted just like Reuben's helmet, sitting along with the collection of 1:18 Fcars... you'd wonder. Being a techie guy, working with computers all day, it is quite relaxing to paint, no matter what it is. It's something that is created from nothing, which is miles away from technical aspects in the day to day rat race.

    And got it bad? Well, I told Dave about this before - what other girl do you know will watch - WILLINGLY - the Dakar rally all day with you, and give you updates when you are away? That's gotta be a good thing, right?
