My gun is "Stolen", how does this happen?

    apparently it is CA law to destroy the gun after failing to get a hold of the original owner after 30 days, it has been 60.

    i went from a .45 to .40 because I honestly dont know enough about guns for it to be a criticcal issue. the .40 feels better in my hand, holds 2 more rounds and it is in better condition than the .45 which had some holster wear from previous owner.

    as far as popping up in the system, no one has been able to give me a reasonable answer.

    Your sense of smell is perfect. Many of these weapons are not destroyed at all. They are recorded as such and then used for purposes for which we shall not speak. Bashing? Not I.
