My hair is starting to thin, what to do?

I don't get the connection with having hair and sucking dick

 

Some people are more willing to accept unattractiveness than others.

I started Propecia the millisecond I noticed any loss... and it froze it in it's tracks. I am not sure if I would ever go through with transplants but as it stands, I don't have to. The bottom line is that women prefer a full head of hair - and the "bald look" may be attractive to women, and it's a look that any man with hair can get too - just shave it. Many guys prefer the option.

Honestly, all the talk of "I don't care, I just buzz it and get about my business" tells me loud and clear.... "thou doth protest too much". Know what I'm sayin'?

 

Propecia for me was a little scary.

Didn't stop the pipes but what i could do at night couldn't always be duplicated the morning after.

Girlfriend was like WTF?

Try what I do:
4 days a week take Propecia. Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
3 days a week take Provillus. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Provillus is a Natural alternative to Propecia, though it's probably not as strong.
But it does fill in the gap nicely.

Thanks for the dosage recommendation but i'm just gonna stay away.

The way i see it Propecia and Rogaine are just like rent payments on your own hair..you stop paying and the hair is gone. I don't wanna rent my own hair from myself.

Took a good 3 months for the propecia effects to go away. I'd had myself convinced it was just age after a bit but finally found my old self once it cleared the system.

The sooner you do it the cheeper the grafts are as you'll have more life to spread the cost over.

Initial cost or cost per graft has come down significantly in the last few years. first doctor i went to charged $9 per graft and the last only $3..both were done well. Recently got a mailer from the last doctor advertising $2 a graft.

 

I once heard the condition described as "premature Kojakulation". Made me laugh.

 

You are self medicating and self dosing with an herbal treatment that DOES NOT WORK.

Propecia is not "the same" as "Provillus". Alternating between the two is silly. In order for Propecia to work, you need to take it daily so it can do it's thing.

I know you think provillus works, but it doesn't. There are NO medical studies to show it works and there are studies that show it does not work. Provillus isn't even a real drug - it's like taking some vitamin off the shelf, calling it a snazzy name, and claiming it stops aging.

Again, it doesn't matter if you think it's done something for you - because the placebo effect can be strong. The bottom line is that real drugs get tested, they are shown to work (or not), they are approved by the FDA, and they are sold as treatments for a given symptom.

Provillus is *exactly* the same as that Enzyte stuff. It's sold to guys who don't know any better and who are hoping and praying that anything will work.


Guys, don't fall for Provillus - it is a scam. Do a google search on the stuff before you commit ANY money to it. It is 100% a scam, the same as any of those "male enhancement" drugs, or any of the other similar products. They rope you into a monthly/quarterly subscription and say you can cancel anytime - but their "unused bottle fee" is virtually the same cost as you paid for the medicine, so basically they get your $$ either way.

Anything that works - ANYTHING - will be backed up with real world data.

You also said only 1.5% of people experience side effects from Propecia....boy are YOU gullible!

Here alone, 3 people have testified to those side effects...so where are the 197 here who
had no side effects? Almost 200 people here, and not a word from them.....hmmmm.....

Agree with Mike. Propecia works well. I am on avodart now (past 4 yrs) & it works great. It blocks more dht than propecia, but both are pretty effective.

But everybody is different. I've never really worried too much about what I looked like because first of all I'm no Brad Pitt and secondly it is not the done thing for a New Zealand bloke to ... supposed to be playing Rugby, etc.

Much rather work on my car, or play with the kids, etc. than waste time grooming myself. Shaving is a big enough pain. Also worrying about growing old is also pointless, we all will ... just keep fit and healthy and enjoy life.

You need to get a book on statistics and read it - and learn it - and understand it.

If you have 50 or so people talking about something, and 5 people say "I had a problem" you cannot extrapolate that 10% have a problem and expect it to mean something.

But you do.


Then, when confronted with a study of 1000's of people or tens of 1000's showing a real statistic, you can't stick your head in the sand and say "no the number is 10%, not 1%".

3 people out of.... who knows how many... is not a valid statistic. At all. What is valid are medical studies. It's not a matter for debate, it's simple fact.

The facts are, a large and vast majority of people who take Propecia do not have any side effects, and, Provillus is NOT a medicine and it does not work.

Alternating between Propecia and Provillus and thinking that somehow you are getting the benefits of Propecia without the side effects is as good of an idea as a woman alternating between the pill and some holistic anti-pregnancy concoction and thinking she is actually preventing pregnancy. It just doesn't work like that.

They look like prison mug shots taken with a 10 year old camera that's on the fritz. Contrasted with obviously professionally done after pics

 

That's what I'm doing and it costs around $15 a month. I know of no cheaper way.

I saw a video of a guy doing it himself. That's got to be the cheapest way.

 

OK, I'm 9 days out and the stitches in the back of my head (or one big thick fishing line - hard to differentiate) are out.

The ENTIRE upper 1/2 of my scalp above the donor line in the back is totally numb from ear to ear. I mean N-U-M-B. I'm serious. You could stick a fork in it and the only way I would know it is from the sound. What makes it feel really weird is all the scalp below it feels normal. 99% of the graft's scabs are gone now too so it feels like I have a little buzzcut all over. Scalp's pretty tight too.

On a 1-10 pain level this - at most - has been a 1.5 and that's just when you think about it. Most of the time I never notice the very slight discomfort. Been washing it 2X a day with baby shampoo and dabbing which hazel everywhere to help the scabs fall off sooner.

Unfortunately these hairs will not grow and will actually all fall out over the next few days/weeks. I won't see any new growth anywhere until well into the new year.

I hate this part.

 

shaving your head only works if your head is nice and round..

you want to slow down hair loss you need to take a DHT inhibitor. Internal is better than topical. Avodart is better than propecia.
minoxidil dries out your scalp.. Minox is a growth stimulator im not a big fan because of the itch.. tricomin (copper peptides) is much better.
a good hair loss shampoo is key nizoral 2% is proven to help grow hair, rotate it with Jasons thin to thick every other day.

 

I actually started using Minoxidil 2 years before it was approved by the FDA for this. I was trying anything back in the middle 80's when all this started..
