So I bought my 360 Modena almost exactly a year ago from its original owner. It had only 692 miles on it. It was in great shape inside and out. I got all the service up to date and have really enjoyed the 2,300 miles I've put on it in the last year. I did some modest detailing myself and always kept it clean inside and out, treated all the leather with the Leatherique cleaner and conditioner, but there were some very light surface scratches presumably from the original owner putting the cover on and taking it off over the years. The car also had the stock exhaust on it and after reading all the info here I was itching for a bit throatier sound... I bought a Capristo Level 2 from Nick last fall and he referred me to Detailing Dynamics on Long Island as someone who could install it. I decided to wait until the weather improved in the spring to have the install done and to get the car fully detailed, which I doubt had ever been done before on this car.

Fast forward to about a week ago. As my wife puts it, my 360 went for a week at the "spa." I drove it down to DD and went over the car with Matt. He evaluated the paint, I pointed out a few minor flaws that I had identified while cleaning it (including a small ding on one of the doors). Matt gave me a few suggestions on things I should consider doing to the car, but didn't oversell. He feels that the cars are already beautiful, he just looks for a few things to tweak or modify and one that I took him up on was tinting the orange marker lights and little bullet blinker lights just in front of the doors so they would blend into my Pozzi Blue car, rather than standing out in an unflattering way.

They had the exhaust scheduled to be installed last Monday, then had the detail scheduled for that Wednesday (including getting out the door ding). I hadn't heard anything on Thursday so I called to check up on the progress. Either Matt or Eddie (the 2 partners) told me that the car was done and sitting under a cover, but that they hadn't had an opportunity to take the car out in the sun to QC their work. Bottom line is they wouldn't be rushed, I wasn't going to get it back until they were satisfied. Matt called Friday to say he had taken it out in the sun and decided to redo the quarter panels because they needed more work, but now they're perfect and I could arrange for the transport guy (their referral also) to bring it back to me. (I decided to have it flat-bedded back to me rather than having my wife drive me down again to get it). Saturday was rainy so we agreed to do it Monday (yesterday).

The final result is spectacular. First of all, the new exhaust is fantastic. You should have seen the smile on my face when I first started the car! What a great sound, so much better than stock! And while it was dark when I got home, I could see how deep and clear the the paint looked having been through their 4-step custom detailing process. I also really love the tinted side markers - they basically made these "distractions" disappear, which is a nice, simple enhancement. When the lights or blinkers are on though, they look as orange as they did before. Pretty cool. The guys at DD do great work, obviously care a lot about the work they do, and were very responsive. I definitely recommend them, and I'll be using them again in the future. Their transport referral (Mike Alioto - (516) 455-3386) was very prompt and professional and he has a flatbed that gets very horizontal in the lowered position, which prevents any front-end scraping getting the car on and off. Another good resource to have.

I know, I know, you want pictures. I promise to take them when I can get the car in some daylight, which will should be this weekend.

    Drive safely,

    Brian

Brian, What color is your 360? TDF? Looks amazing. Nevermind, I just read where you stated it was pozzi. -Note to self: Read full post first next time-

No worries. My OP was very verbose - I couldn't blame you for not reading the whole thing...

Yeah, I feel worse now. lol

Quick question for you. Your car resembles the following 360:

However, I have heard that pozzi has no metallic at all; which would disprove they are the same paint by referencing the second picture. Can you confirm this? I love TDF blue, but if that is in fact Pozzi blue in the pictures I posted, I might decide to paint Pozzi instead. I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance. :)

    Hey Paul,

It's difficult to be accurate in identifying the color in your links on a computer screen, etc. I can confirm that the Pozzi Blu is NOT metallic, but instead flat. If I were ordering a car from the factory (I did not spec this car), I would give serious consideration to TDF as it is also a fantastic color. A touch lighter or brighter than Pozzi from what I can tell, although I haven't seen the 2 of them side-by-side.

Of course, if I were ordering a Scuderia, I would to that lighter blue color (Azzuro California, is it?) instead. I think it looks awesome on that car. But alas, I am not among the select few that will be able to order a Scuderia.

    Best regards,

    Brian

Brian from the first time you showed some pictures of your Ferrari here; I thought it was outstanding in that exterior/interior color combination! It looks even better now. Don't know what it cost for the detail work, but money well spent judging by the results. It's amazing how Pozzi is constantly compared with TdF. The blue shades are tough to figure out just what you are looking at sometimes on a computer.

    Thanks CH -

The original owner did a great job specifying the car. I can't take any credit at all. I'm just glad to have the chance to look after this great car for a while. It has really benefited from the outstanding job DD did detailing the car. It really looks terrific now. TdF is a great color, but I love the Pozzi Blu also. I'm going to have this car for some time to come...

Thank you Brian, your information was very helpful and once again, props on a beautiful car. You must be very proud. :)

You have good taste with Azzuro California. Unfortunately, I'm only 20 years old and underage to drive such a classic color. ;)

    Take care of that car.
