    I pray you are correct.

As you can see from the time periods involved, I tried to be as patient as humanly possible before contributing my story. I will update this thread with any updates and non-updates.

I started this, for those who a got a good experience during the process, congrats. I have no regrets doing it. I enjoy driving as a manual. Maybe he don’t like Kevin’s, hope you get your part cuz the factory don’t make those any more.

How long are these conversions generally supposed to take and how long did you expect your car to be gone?

I actually was not given a time estimate. I will admit I did not expect 14 months for an incompletely finished car.

I don't believe Art dislikes me at all.

I'm actually quite puzzled by all of this. I was nothing but cordial with him throughout our interactions, and he was the same in return. I never bothered him with phone calls, and corresponded by e-mail so as not to interrupt him, as I know he is extremely busy. He nearly always responded to my e-mails in a timely manner. The only problem is that he usually did not follow through with what I was told in the e-mails.

I still have every e-mail sent between us, which are very pleasant. I am assuming that it is simply a case of the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and perhaps it is necessary to bother him a bit more often and perhaps be a bit belligerent??

I really wish he would be a man of his word and send me the appropriate shift gate. It is sad that multiple people have had positive experiences and are more than willing to carry the water for him. Such that he can victimize several other people without recourse.

    Hello
Would anyone have an idea of what is the cost of conversion to manual on a 355?

    Thank you.

Dan has (or has had) his 575 there for over a year….wonder if for them it’s best to stick to the bread and butter 360/430 conversions?

One member here reached out to me telling me it was his and did get permission for filming and EAG never finished the job(done right), gears grind during shift. Also later found out this was the first conversion for this model even though he was they have done it before

    Its usually between $15k-25k

There are quite a few people that have done the conversion in their garage. The conversion isn't very complicated since you don't need to change gearbox.

I'd also be curious to know the back story on this current BaT car:

    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-ferrari-612-scaglietti-17-2/

Apparently it was sold to Art at EAG who stated it was going to get converted to gated, but now is back being auctioned several months later by the original seller.

This isn't an EAG conversion. It was started by EAG a few years ago is my understanding. Some EAG employees, unhappy, split away from Art, founded their own shop, made a video about the car (I believe this was back in 2020 or 21) and they were going to take over the conversion. I'm not sure how far along EAG got. Looks like the shop that split away from EAG wasn't able to complete it either because the ad mentions a 3rd shop out in California that took over from the 2nd shop. So 3 shops have worked on that car to convert it.

Nomad Engineering is responsible for that center console.
