lets not go crazy here - this is fchat. I cld care less if anyone likes or believes me here. The idea that my reputation might be compromised because of Art is just a joke. i have more financial exposure to him right now (my scud is at EAG and i bought a conversion kit) than anyone and do i seem perturbed or nervous? i have no horse in the race - i'm a consumer and never more. The reviews of the scud conversion, including matt farrah's are all off the chart. Current fchat members have similar reviews about there 430s.

Art has done everything right trying to redeem himself. the idea we are even discussing what happened to him in a prior life/prior industry just goes to show the evil in people.

still cant wait to hear from rennspeed about his personal dealing with EAG.

Saying he had a past but has changed is different than stating unequivocally he has no felony convictions. Did he lie to you or did you lie to us? That’s not a false dichotomy.

He told me it was deferred/dismissed and they did a criminal background check for that ID.

The posted record says he got 10 years probation in March 2014 for a 3rd degree felony (theft greater than $20K and less than $100K). Many TWIC felony disqualifiers age out after 7 years from conviction OR 5 years from release.

    https://www.tsa.gov/disqualifying-offenses-factors

So it doesn't seem that it was because the event was "deferred/dismissed" that allowed him to get a TWIC, it seems that it was simply more than 5 years from release.

It was when he was in construction. One sub had an outstanding bill and passed it on yada yada. Ive done enough work on my houses to know bow easily those go wrong who owes who money etc. im not a lawyer and i dont play one on tv. Every single word art has uttered to me has been accurate and honest since my first conversation with him.

With the exception of his criminal record? You just said he told you it was differed/dismissed and that’s been shown to be not true. But other than that he’s been accurate and honest? How can you post that back to back?

Not making sense. Commercial disputes are civil issues, not criminal issues. He would have been sued for non-payment, not arrested for theft.

So if a felony charge disappears after 7 years, is he still a felon?

If it was removed so the man can start his life with a fresh new clean slate, we should at least give him that. The man needs to eat. He's only 125 lbs!

ok i spoke to Art - he was never convicted of a felony. they way it was explained to him is the guilty plea was used as a placeholder until he successfully passed his probation. If he violated his probation, the please wld automatically trigger the original sentence times 2. He got through probation with no issues.

Sorry for this noob's comment/question: can't Art register to tell his side of the story, instead of going through an intermediary member?
