And when the gearbox breaks on the test drive or after the major it will all be the repair shops fault. And people wonder why TR's break diffs. We used to see the flippers do that all the time.
wow that is really dumb, that close to other cars. While the driver of the Ferrari may not may not value that car they could have hit someone elses car.
Actually, it takes some good driving skills for that. Just saying!!! Drive the hell out of it. We pay enough for it!!!
Haa haa wait til you get the bill for the gearbox rebuild after it breaks ....you will be paying enough for it. LOL LOL
Or when you get the court summons for posting up dangerous driving on youtube and a public forum which details your full name and clearly shows your plate. Very bright. ....what was the quote earlier? "Just saying !!!" Look guys any way you look at it this is a dumb thing to do. Go do it in the middle of a deserted parking lot if you want but doing it near other people's vehicles, just makes you look a bit daft IMHO. Happy to discuss this firmly held belief but I'm unlikely to change my view.
Boy, from the title of this thread I was expecting descriptions of Bavarian Creams and Toasted Coconut bakery ingestions on the way to the shop....
A good reason to remove test drives from the QC process. Why take the risk knowing that this "skilled driving" is part of the "ownership experience?"
If I were the owner of the other cars that were in harms way and I didn't own an Fcar I would be saying "look at that d*@chebag showing off with his Ferrari". Not the place to do it IMHO. Actually I don't think there is any place to do that.
37 Michael. Live a little... Doing it in a parking lot with other people's cars around was dumb, sure. Donuts in general - what is wrong with them??? Every gearhead on the planet loves doing them - including the goobers on TopGear that everyone loves. After every car race, indy, F1, Nascar, etc. guess what they do - donuts... What, is a Ferrari "too good" to do donuts? Come on man, it's a car, enjoy it! Or is the 348 gear box that weak that this just shouldn't be done - I have no idea about 348's but several people mentioned it here, so not flaming them, just don't know.
Like I said, time and a place. And no a 348's gearbox isn't weak, they never do donuts after an F1 race, and what's this everyone keeps saying about how hard they are to do? Look 'impressive' but frankly any kid can do them.
Must be why when you search on YouTube for "F1 donuts" they only have 29000 videos on it.... Donuts aren't hard, keeping them going in such a confined space like the OP did is not something "any kid" can do... Throw "any kid" in your Ferrari, put him in a tight parking lot like that and then please post your video!
This Jenson Button guy, what a toole doing it with all those people close by lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDki_NJQrUc
Thanks for NOT doing that in a 355...Most of us try to preserve pieces of car art not roll the dice with it. .. On a side note. nice driving
And apparently he took the clutch or gear box with him! But you are correct. Button is pretty much a tool.
Ok, ok, not going to get into a pissing contest Re the F1 donuts, not often at the end of a race, you'll notice - that was my point. If it happens at the end of Indie or NASCAR races then I guess that figures (and yes I am taking the mick) Regarding the skill, it was good to judge the roll out down the road, I'll give him that. Just not impressed with getting it to go round in circles. And very unimpressed with doing it near other people's cars.
I think the OP shows better car control than this idiot LOL! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EmT64KfjoU]Ferrari Enzo Ferrari FXX Schumacher - YouTube[/ame]
