I havnt seen anyone do this one yet... not even Mr. Seals! This is the only thing he's missing... I certainly found out WHY nobody has done this, dont try this at home! Before... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I dunno, i'd say to call Russ on Monday and ask. This is NOT a simple mod... It SHOULD be, but its a pain in the ass. Ferrari clearly never intended that cowl piece to be removed. If anyone has the guts to attempt it after actually looking at the underside of the bonnet, let me know and i'll explain how I did it.... you wont like it!
Ack... damn Robbie, you're starting to sound like a broken record dude! Yea, I want a 355... I also want a 288 GTO, and a Diablo VT Roadster... but I LOVE the 348 too! And i'm DAMN proud to own one! so there!
hmmmm...that just gave me an idea, it looks great Steve May I ask how much it was? Is it 3 or 5 nut fixing?? For those who have an early 348 (me included) we have only 3 nut fixing, and the stock plastic intake will expand over the years and will raise a bit where we SHOULD have nut #2 and #4. But this F355 intake looks much stronger and solid.....so I think I'll look into it. I know you can get a new 3 nut fixing intake, but I've heard that these are a couple of mm too wide.
That looks awesome. Better than stock. I might give it a go when mines in the paintshop end of this year. I never liked the original 348 one. Did you have to atke the under bonnet part off?
Ok Steve, that does it... this may be war.... I'm MILES ahead of you in the 'looks like a 355' department....but I have to admit...THAT LOOKS GREAT! Can you give us a ballpark on the cost??? If you'd rather, send me a PM or an email... I like that... alot! Mike in Kuwait
Not me. The Ferrari I originally wanted was a late Testarossa. The last one before they went to the 512 because I like the look of the rims. I wish they would have continued using that style rim on the early 512's. After talking to several people about Testarossa's I decided it was not the Ferrari for me and decided I wanted a 348. I have no desire for a 355. I like the exotic look of the 348. The 355's started looking like a Toyota Supra or something. The next car I may buy will be a 98 Lamborghini Diablo SV. The 99 SV has the fixed headlights. I like the look of the front end on the 98's with the pop up headlights on these Lamborghini Diablo SV's much more. I was at a car show last year parked next to a 355. More people spent much more time looking at my 348 than the 355. Thank you Rodney Dickman 1990 red 348 TS 99.9% all original
First of all that does look great.....i could be looking at a 355. So now you 348 guys as well as using the 355 wheels, 355 lower door panels, 355 rear lights pods, replica 355 challenge grill. You now can use the 355s bonnet air intake Am i missing anything?? Go on admit it fellas, you know you want to
Were do your facts come from then??? A blank profile?? And this from you, a man who claims you drive a 348 and has a Fiero & kit car website link as your home page Is that 348 of yours real then.....By the way i am kidding with you
I posted an actual life experience. I did not fabricate a lie. Where do you get your facts from to call me a liar? Rodney
