Jim another belated congratulations! May I ask how many miles you are picking her up with and is there a chance she will be at one of the events for the Monterey Historics this year? Thanks! Alex
As she doesn't have either a Speedo or Odometer only she knows for sure. A few laps at Pininfarina and Fiorano. I've applied for the Preservation Class at Pebble and am waiting to see if they want her. Her first road trip will be the 1000 KMS 9000 turns of the Giro d'Sicilia/Historic Targa Florio. Best
Congrats Jim.....!!! I see a little bit of the Porsche Carrera 6 in that car, which is par for a few of the race cars of that period it seems.....and that is not a bad thing either. It's beautiful......enjoy !!!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login

The Lotus Elise lifted the hood scoop design from your car. No wonder I like it so much; totally retro yet current. Ken
Im speechless. Jim, you are truly living the dream. I hope you go to sleep knowing that every night. All the best, Jon
Beautiful article about the 206s, written by my friend Sergio ( http://www.virtualcar.it ). It's an interview to Paolo Martin, the designer of the 206s and other beautiful Pininfarina and Ferrari cars (e.g. the 512s Modulo): http://209.85.135.104/translate_c?hl=it&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=it%7Cen&u=http://www.virtualcar.it/%3Fp%3D5334&prev=/language_tools The interview is brutally translated in english from italian language using google. If someone understands italian, please read here: http://www.virtualcar.it/?p=5334 And here some original sketches of the 206s made personally by Martin, never seen before: http://www.virtualcar.it/gallery.php?ima=dino_berlinetta_&an=7&id=5334&num=15&this=1&m=1&comment=Dino+Berlinetta+Competizione+di+Paolo+Martin Ciao Alan
Congrats Jim - great addition to your collection. Pininfarina has made a fine choice as well. Since we know you are big on driving and there seems to be a theme with your license plates, at what point did you check the NY DMV database to see if '206 COMP' was available? >8^) ER
so, high dollar + recession right? indeed, better to invest in classics than in american real estate j/K congrats on the new (literally) car! you're starting to grow a VERY impressive proto collection next up a 512S?
Jim, Recently a collection of Alfa Romeo T33 racers came up for sale, one/some of those would have raced against your Ferrari Prototypes and your Ford ... Just food for thought Pete
Here: http://www.virtualcar.it/gallery.php?ima=alfa_padova_ag&an=7&id=6128&num=56&this=1&m=1&comment=Alfa+Romeo+a+Padova+2007+foto+Alan+Guerzoni A huge collections of pictures I took in 2007 Padova old cars expo. There is the complete lineup of the racing "Tipo 33" from Alfa Romeo Museum in Milan. Me, I fell in love for the 33-2 Daytona Coupe coda lunga. There was also the 8c spyder prototipe. Finally here my gallery about a "Tipo 33 Stradale" in Modena: http://www.alanguer.altervista.org/htmleng/foto/GT/33Stradale.html
After she's cleaned up we're going to put her in the wind tunnel which should be very interesting. We ran her engine on the dyno, breaking her in carefully and she's running great.
