car is a euro 98 stock exhaust stock headers just over 10,000 miles.

After I bought the car and got it home It had an intermittent SDL and was going into limp mode. I found a faulty TC and I also did a smoke test on the exhaust and had no leaks

I was driving the other day and developed a noticeable exhaust rattle so I drove the car home and parked it until I could get into it last night.

Also found the bypass valve was safety wired open. It holds a vacuum so I guess a mechanic thought it was a good idea during the last service no idea what benefit that can be anyone do this on their car?

I decided to just dig in to it since I planned to swap it all out anyway, also busted out my smoke machine and did the test in the dark this time because I had not seen anything when I initially checked them. I found just a little bit of smoke escaping the clamshell on the RH header So another 1-4 header failure in the beginning stage? I am not going to find out.
Ill try to get the video uploaded.

    Anyway
look at what came out of the LH catalytic converter.

Figured id be into the exhaust on this one day as its par for the course.
Now time for Headers, cat delete pipes, and capristo level 3, not sure about the bypass pipe any suggestions on that one? that doesn't cost a ton of cash? Maybe cut it and gut it? or get a spare off ebay to cut and gut?

Go with high flow metallic cats.
As for the headers....there are plenty of choices depending on your budget.

Though I think its best to use a functioning bypass valve, I have a bypass valve delete for sale if you need it.

Nah I really don't want to delete it.

Right now I need to decide on headers.

I really posted this just to show off what can happen to the cats even on a low mile car so you have to listen to your car sometimes.

You can get a shop to gut your cats and weld in a new core. Fabspeed did this for my cracked cats.
