Hi Marek, the Koenig C62´s were also converted Porsche 962. Kremer Sport did also at least 1 street conversion.
I visited Dauer and Jochen Dauer at his factory in 2001 and got a personal factory presentation along with champagne. Just around that time he just had sold 1 Dauer 962 (dark) and one Dauer EB110 (Bugattiblue) to one Swedish owner. http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/koenigsegg-forum-koenigseggboard-com/90799-dauer-962-factory-visit-worlds-fastest-car-before-mclaren-koenigsegg-veyron.html
Please tell me you have pics, I would love to see them I had no clue about the Koenig Specials C62. Thanks for the info.
Notice in the first picture they drive on the right... Brunei, or....? Second pic is in Geneva and is probably this car, a street-legalized one with untouched livery that was for sale a few years ago The white 917 is a street version (the second ever) built from real 917 chassis/parts in the '80s by an enthusiast ...
Every 956/962 was RHD, as most race circuits turn right more than left. It's ideal to have the driver on the right side.
Too bad how the story with Dauer turned out. The car is one of my all time favourites. It was the fastest car officially measured before the Veyron came out, with 404.7 kph driven at Volkswagens test track in Ehra-Lessien.
Here is a long list of Super cars being compared......enjoy. My Dauer 962LM holds its own very very well amongst this crew http://www.supercarworld.com/cgi-bin/compare.cgi?atoz&187~154~191~022~010~068~074~066~222~235~223~180~303~302~294~324~350~356~386~400~408~

I really respect the person you;'re talking about, however I'm not at all convinced he had the right intel on this one. That site is really really old. Think it's about 8 years since it was updated I am glad that someone managed to keep it up though. The black car you mention is actually the carbon car. And it didn't sell last year or two years ago when someone supposedly showed interest in it. At least five I am absolutely positive about.
