I was leaving work early to take my car to Euroquipe for the 3rd time in 2 weeks for repairs. As I was getting ready to turn right onto Roosevelt Road, a big UPS delivery truck that was in the left lane decided not to wait to turn left and shot a right turn directly over my 911! I'm looking for a good body shop to fix my Porsche in the western suburbs. Does anyone have any recommendations in the Geneva, St. Charles, etc area? Euroquipe mentioned Boyce Body Werks in Batavia, but I've never heard of them. Thanks in advance!

Well you know it was Badges fault, because he shouldn't have been driving that rich guy car in the snow. ;););)

Really, I'm sorry that happened and I know I would be sick if that happened to my 328. I'll bet that UPS driver was rather sick when he found out Badges carries a badge.

(Like my mother told me: If I didn't have bad luck, I would have no luck at all!:D)

I tried to keep that quiet so there would be no feeling of favoritism. Unfortunately, the word got out pretty quick and having about 7-8 cops show up at different times may have let the cat out of the bag!

Just got the snow tires/wheels on last week!

Near your neck of the woods, I'd say http://www.customcarsunlimited.com/.

Or, if you don't mind traveling northwards, Skip McCabe does great work.

Thanks Darolls for the refer. Euroquipe just called to let me know that my water pump is shot (what it was going to the shop for when UPS made their delivery)........so much for that $1000! This is after dropping almost $800 last week when all hell broke loose on my car and a stupid mistake on my part. Now I see why people pack up and move to the mountains and live in a cabin!!!

Aah, just another one of the joys of owning an Exotic; sometimes it sucks.

I know exactly how you feel. :(

But all will be made well with a good body shop!!!!

    Still, I know it hurts,

not in your neck of the woods.... but a very good shop-

    http://www.ultimatepaintshop.com/

they had a lot of smashed up upper end audis (including an R8), lots of Porsches last time I was there.
They did some work on my previous Audi. They are a "go to" shop for Chubb insurance. No haggling... you just go and they fix.

they are one of the few places certified to work on the Audi aluminum bodies.
good people, good experience, very good work. They did work on a buddy of mine's car too, he too was very happy.

I know it's more north side than western suburbs, but Autowerks of Northbrook http://www.e-autowerks.com/content/ is a great shop. They are accustomed to working on very high end cars. I trust them 100%. Added plus, is that the owner is a member here on fchat (Autowerks Racing) so you know they have to be good:)

    +1 on AutoWerks.
Haven't personally had my car there, but I've heard nothing but positive things.

I ended up going with a shop in Wheaton that has done work for me a few times and I've been very happy. They've also done my buddy's Porsche and he said it was perfect. I took it in for the estimate today and................................$4400. Ouch! Just the headlight was $1800! Thanks for all of the recommendations!

Thanks for the kind words about my shop. Looks like you need a fender, bumper, bracket, headlamp and corner marker. Since they will be replacing the fender they will need to blend door and blend bonnet, hence the $4400 bill. Relatively easy repair that most qualified shops can knock out in four days.

If you ever need we do offer pickup and drop off and are certified by every insurance company under the sun as well as Audi and Tesla

and suddenly, everything is good in the world again! My car is back to better than before the crash. Amazingly, the insurance for UPS said take it anywhere and they cut a check as soon as the work was done.
