I thought my engine looked "fresher" when it was in but after it came out today and I saw it...it sure looks rougher than I thought. The car ran great but I bought it with "the belt was done in 2006" but no records as what was done. I am having S&R doing it as Gary has the touch with these cars. He is giving it a good going over and will let me know what it needs. I'm more excited than when I bought the car knowing the belt components will be sound and the engine will be fresh when it's done. As I said it ran great but I am sure it was lacking...I hope Gary doesn't mind me posting a pic...I couldn't help it.

The belt will probably look like new. It's all the other parts that like to go kablooee :)

I got news from Gary yesterday. No surprises as of yet, just the normal major service items: belts, water pump, Tbelt and tensioners, hoses. I'm pretty sure he did a compression test before he started but have not seen the numbers.

Sorry I don't have much more to tell right now....but got a pic of the belt with the covers offs. I was told the belt had less than 10K on it and was done on 2006 so it was time but I'll bet it still looks practically new. I probably could have put more miles on the car before doing this but wanted a good starting baseline and figured I rather be safe than sorry. Didn't want anything to go Kablooee.....
