My Mondial is slow

I'm a recent purchaser of a '84 Mondial Cab. Not my first pick for reasons listed in another post, but it was nearby, cheap, and a rag top, so it's in my garage. And the few times I had it out before the weather went bad it was really fun.

Problem is, I keep getting dusted by, say, Sentras. And yes, it is starting to bother me that my Ferrari is cool, sounds great, but not fast.

So I'm wondering if there's anything guys have done to this car (or, to 308's--same engine, right?) to speed it up a bit.

Not talking about running nitrous, but if replacing the fuel injectors, instaling a K & N, and running different exhaust would speed me up just a wee bit, I'd sure consider it.

Or should I just save up for a newer car?

so I bought a 355 too.

The Mondials are very heavy, but a nice trade off for a 4 seater rag top.

I got beat by a neon the other day. But I sure like the sound of losing.
