My new 2012 CLS 550

As a few of you know my lease on my 2008 CLS 550 lease was up in May and the new shape was going to arrive in June. I finally got my car 3 weeks ago and just hit 1100 miles yesterday. The 2012 CLS has a new 4.7 liter biturbo motor which puts out 402 hp with 450lbs of torque. I finally got to push on it yesterday and holly crap was I blown away with the accleration. This is defintely a 4 second car and seems to have more than the claimed 402 hp. Now I am sure it feels really fast because of the 450lb torque, but I have also driven the 550i which has similar numbers and weight. The CLS feels much faster and really there is no point in getting the CLS 63. As for handling, Mercedes has improved it tremendously. The turn in is pretty responsive and the body roll has been reduced considerably. Mercedes has really done a great job on this car giving you best of both worlds. A car that can be comfortable to drive everyday, but yet give you the performance of a sports car. I am very happy that I waited for this car. I am trying to post pictures, but I need to empty out my box. I will do it shortly.
