I needed a new daily driver to replace the GranSport which has been my daily driver for 3 years and 45k miles. We'll keep the great GranSport, but just let it rest a little more. ;) It was between a Lexus CT 200h sport, used 911, or Abarth. We really liked the Lexus, but it had a higher retail, not as exotic, and slow as molasses. I eventually want a 911, but the Abarth is the perfect car for our current budget. Color wise we liked all of the combos, but we already have a red, black, and silver car, so white was different. The white wheels you see on most white Abarths didn't fit our tastes, but the optional gun metal wheels fit in.

Congrats, I hope you enjoy it in good health. I enjoy mine very much. They're great little fun cars. I never imagined it would draw all sorts of attention, but it does. I have people asking me questions about it all the time in traffic and gas stations etc. It's fun.

    looks really really good!

I think black is my favorite color on Abarth, but we already have a black GranSport, 2001 Tundra, and 2012 Tundra. :D

Just hit 8,000 miles in mine, and have driven it from SC to NJ and back twice! Also had a contract job that required me putting 120 miles a day on it. Great, great car, and a real conversation starter.

car is unbelievable, I told Jennie she needed to take the GranSport to Norwoods for oil just so I could drive it today! :D I went mile out of my way to hit a roundabout. :)

    few observations...

    1) 1st gear goes to 30+ mph, seems like many corners I downshift to 2nd in other cars I could go all the way to 1st in the Abarth. I just need to take the corners faster, right? :)

    2) the black interior plastic trim scratches very easy. are there products out there that clean up scratches in the plastic?

Yeah man, the car's a blast isn't it. I love mine. I'm probably going to add some of magneti marelli's performance bits in the near future and that should bring it to a whole new level of fun.

what does Magnetti Marelli offer? intermittent start? auto die? unintentional cylinder deactivation?

I was interested in the instant undercarriage rust; every pound of frame that rusts off enhances the power to weight ratio. :D

Actually just hit 9,000 miles today on a round trip to/from Charleston.

EVERYONE mentions something about the car.

Best comment so far is one I heard today, referencing the new commercial where FIATs "swim" from Italy to America - some kids asked me, "Hey!!!! Is that the car that goes in the water?"

I will eventually. The reviews on the mods have been overwhelmingly positive so it's just a matter of time before I give in and spend a little money.

If the most interesting man in the world could drink Mexican beer, then she could drive a Mexican built car...keep driving my friends!

bTW the magneti marelli performance parts are made in Italy so you can add them and you will feel better!
