Congrats! Glad to hear about the happy ending. Kudos to FoS.
Rosso Corsa with a black interior and the seat belts plus the calipers in red looks excellent. Those race seats with the rare 'Daytona' style trim (named after the style of seats in the 1968 Ferrari nicknamed Daytona but technically called a 365 GTB/4) are special and for me would be the icing on the cake. Certainly a roundabout way but you got a nicely optioned new Ferrari now after a rocky start. Smile!!!
Lol. I haven't heard from FoS on the wrap, but overall, I've been really happy with them. Roberto was always incredibly respectful, and one of the best sales managers I've personally ever worked with. Eric, the sales manager was also really excellent in staying calm and level when I wasn't necessariy. IMO, they're a top notch dealership that got dealt a ****ty hand (as did I), and legitimately cared about making things right. I've tried to be neutral in all my posts here, and not become opinionated Or reactive. My hope is that I haven't burned any bridges with this thread. I genuinely reached out for feedback, but never intended to place FoS in a negative light. I hope they are still willing to work with me down the road.
I live in Liberty Lake, right on the border. Actually drove to CDA with my wife and friends for dinner tonight at the pizza place at the theater, and for some random reason on the way home while cruising in the right lane, got flipped off by some random guy hanging out the window of his car while some lady (maybe his wife) drove. Most people so far seem to give thumbs up and yell nice things, but I guess you get the bad with the good. Was able to double the miles on the car today. I think it's up to 125 or so now lol.
Have you tried Fire in CDA or GEG? One of my best remaining friends in the area lives (IIRC he moved to some lake north of GEG) on Liberty Lake (and owns Fire). And another person I know lived there for years. I lived in CDA (above Fernan actually) for a couple of years. Going back later this month for the first time in many years. Looking forward to seeing what's new...I had a Porsche C4S up there back then and didn't see many/any P-cars, let alone Ferrari's up there at that time. Looking forward to huddies burger too. Re getting the bird...I imagine it will happen up there from time to time. Too many giant pick up trucks and baseball hat wearing dudes to avoid it completely. It would be like me driving a sports car near my summer place in the rockies in WY.
Yeah, Fire is really good. Their mushroom pizza is top notch. And they have a few salads that can't be beat.
Congrats on getting a newer car than your old one! I highly suggest doing some donuts with the car to get a better feel for it!
Once again, glad this worked out well. I just had my 458 in for the yearly maintenance, Ferrari of Seattle manages to exceed my expectations for great service with every interaction. Paula T.
Just read this thread from start to finish in one sitting. Very glad things worked out for you, and the spec on the 2018 car is top notch.
Because sometimes reputation for BOTH the dealer and manufacturer means something. This is similar to how I was introduced into Ferrari ownership and all I'm allowed to say.
Likely due to the fact that I just turned 35, am likely to buy many many more cars from them, and because we (myself and the dealer) have a really good relationship after this all. It was a smart play IMO. And in all likelihood, they wound up making more money on the reworked deal. So they too came out well on this.
I too was thinking they probably made money on this resolution deal. If so, it really was a win-win for them as they also helped boost their reputation by resolving this situation in this manner. Although I am still a bit stunned that they went this far to resolve this issue. Enjoy your new car azilko...I love the specs of the new car.
