Congradulations on such a beautiful car.
The grandest of all the touring cars, you will drive it across country and not even be tired and have more fun than most.
Wait until you've put a few hundred/thousand miles on it....then you'll really know about loving this car!! Congrats and enjoy!!
Good move...same thing I did and I haven't regreted it for a second... The 355 is a GREAT car with a distinct character, but the 550 is in a league of its own....
The lower nose was resprayed, but it was disclosed and found during the PPI. Again... the PPI comes up....
A respray on a 6 year old car might not be unexpected. Respray should be easy for a dealer to detect and disclose even without a PPI if there is bubbled paint drops, overspray, masking lines or other visual evidence. Dealers know what to look for and surely look for it with a car costing 6 figures. The vast majority of PPIs I have had have always made some type of disclaimer relating to paint work or body work. They generally say their focus is on mechanical and they are very leary about making representations as to prior body damage. I almost always get PPIs, although I have not had PPIs performed on 1 or 2 year old cars that were still under warranty provided the car fax was clean and there was no evidence of damage. PPIs are definitely a must if warranty is gone and you are prone to get stuck with out of pocket expensive repair bills. I think your situation may be a little different than the person you directed this at even though your express satisfaction with this dealer is noted and surely appreciated.
