Check out my new brake rotors! These are custom cross-drilled and slotted Brembo rotors which were coated with a special polymer paint that is baked on to the surface (similar, but not as heavy as powder coating); the paint was spayed in all openings (drill holes and in the vented area) & machined off the contact surface of the rotor. I initially tried to paint the rotors with generic high heat spray on paint, but that stuff flaked right off.

The last photo is what my current rotors look like. I can't wait to put these on & have my calipers repainted red (in march or april, just prior to summer).

Purchased the blank rotors from a dealer in NY, had them sent from Brembo NA to a machine shop in the south, then had to take to my local guy (on the west coast) for painting. Cost over $150 just for shipping alone; all in, close to $2K. You might want to look for qualified local shops/vendors in your country. Good luck!

I wonder if they will do only the slotting and the coating in nero :)????

To match the front girodiscs I am saving up for.... ;)

Not the guy I used. I was trying to get a lower density on the cross-drilled holes & he said he couldn't change the pattern as it is all preprogrammed. There are folks out there that sell slotted discs only & you can get the rotors painted in several different colors. If you can't find a guy to paint locally, send me a PM & I will send you the info for the guy up here in Seattle - he seems pretty good.

Great job, those rotors look fantastic. I wonder if high temp powder coating would work, at least on the center hub area (similar to the coating used on calipers)? I have a local guy who could probably do that easily.

You should have your guy powdercoat the whole rotor (including the top vented section) and then machine off the paint from the face of the rotor. That will create a nice rust protective coat covering all the non-contact area surfaces. Good luck!

... and had the calipers repainted red. Like the rotors, the shop used a special polymer paint that was sprayed on and baked. I chose the white logo over the black (OEM logo color for red calipers), as I like the contrast better that it offers. Per the board's suggestion, I used Axxis pads. All in, I think everything came out looking pretty clean. The rust on the rotors is from the dealership wash; not all of the rust came off on the drive home :) Judd

They are stock Brembo rotors... the painted finish really seems to make the rotors stand out more.

What are our options on a 355 as far as increasing the rotor size or like these but an off the shelf part? Are the any?
