I finally got the car on Saturday.. perfect weather for it too.. 80mph winds and lashing rain ! Actually, while the weather was changeable, the ride home was clear enough to have the top down all the way..

Here's pictures of it :- CLICKY

What's it like ? Well.. it's the tits !! Dead chuffed I am.

While not as violently fast as the GT2 was, the power delivery just goes on and on, and driveable from seemingly any gear (of course.. up around the 8500rpm mark is where it sounds the best ). It has 50bhp more than my old F355 and weighs less, and it shows.

Since the seats are fully adjustable, as is the steering wheel I can get far more comfortable in it that the F355. The steering is very direct. With less turns lock-to-lock than the F355 it doesn't feel as understeery..

I'm still exploring it's limits (done about 150 miles so far) so not sure quite how snappy it is. Although I've had the back end twitching at damp roundabouts already, it's not a car I'm going to be pushing too hard.

Next Saturday I'm having a challenge exhaust fitted, so I'll get some before+after sound files of that.

    Very nice exiges, very nice.

Hopefully I'll pop by sometime! :D

I thought of you yesterday as it was chucking down with rain, hailing and generally ****e.

Looks great, congrats. Isn't a challenge exhaust the super loud one , do you retain the cats ?How about a Challenge grill while you're at it? It'll look the nuts against the silver body.....

I think it may be a decibel or two louder than a Tubi, but not much. Cats are retained yes.

Challenge Grille ? Well.. If it were a Modena I might or if the car were red.. but I think I prefer the cleaner lines of it just in Silver (for now !)

Great looking car! Shame about the weather, but dont let a bit of rain stop you.

Love to hear the difference in exhausts.

Some of the posts i've read on here mention that the Challenge exhaust system is a proper beast and VERY noisy ! Who supplies it ?

The exhaust I had on my F355 was a straight-through exhaust and was 118 dB which was farkin loud.

The Challenge exhaust is supposed to be 108-110 so it can't be too unbearable !

I think that figure's too low... my de-cat Tubi was off the scale @ 110 DB and rising at Goodwood last year.

I'm no expert on these things but i guess so! As you say, some before and after comparisons should be interesting.
Are you sure about Challenge grill ? I think it'll look wicked on a silver car.

Absolutely stunning, its a pity you don't see more in that colour.

If I'm correct (guessing who you are...) I heard your 355 at Dono at the SIDC meet a couple of years ago and that was bl00dy loud!!!
