I just didn't have it in me to launch on this yahoo but his posts were as transparent as the day is long.

And this is why. If someone needs to jerk themselves off for a bunch of faceless people than they need a shrink one helluva lot more than a keyboard.

    Pity him and move on.

Yes. After being owned by us for claiming to be buying a Lambo for two years(And being banned from FCar events in his home state after he almost got a few of us killed), he "proved us wrong" by buying one with $5k of his dads money and at 19.5%. So yes he bought one, and if you look at the Lambo forum you can see the thread there about it that I am in.

    As for this....

    Modena, what about it?

Its things like this that always make me leary about reading a post about some user who 'claims' to have just done something automotivly amazing. "I just did 218 in my Enzo with the windows down on the way to Walmart"

I am a young-buck, and have only been following Ferrari since about 99' now. However, I have watched every move, on and off the track that the company has made. It was a while until I saw my first Ferrari, let alone drove one, though experiences that I will always remember fondly!

Im not hiding anything - im an aspiring investor with a passion for auto design and writing. I own no Ferraris, however have had the chance to meet and work with some amazing people who do. I have had this chance in some cases, directly due to FChat.

So to ANY users who claim a billion dollar bank account with thirty FCars and an imaginary silver-spoon stuck up your ass, I suggest you try elsewhere to peddle your bull. Because we here at FChat dont need it!

It is the user who is genuine that attracts the true enthusiest at this site.

If I wanted to be B.S'd I would go to a Ford dealership...

    Kind Regards
    Jon

I haven't read all the posts, but from the last page or so looks like the guy was lying, which to be honest I thought he was too from the first post saying he wasn't go to give out a Vin or anything else.

That guy came back to the UK Section under another username and claiming to be some kind of doctor/paramedic.Told everyone that he was helping out in various disastor zones, including the Tsunami and the London bombings, he was finally outed in this thread.

I believe that he is back on here using yet another username and the powers that be are aware of this but don't seem to be interested.

"My understanding is that the only country where driving a LHD car is a problem is South Africa. I'm sure I've read posts on Rennteam and LP by "Mike" explaining that there is an Enzo, SLR and several Porsche CGT cars sitting in South Africa unable to be driven on the roads because the government wont register them."

Correct you cannot register a LHD car in South Africa, however if you are a foreigner you may bring your LHD car here for a period of 2 years before you will be liable to pay duty on the car....hence we have a few LHD cars around, including an Enzo.....

I don't think LHD drive cars can be registered here in Singapore either. Hence the only Enzo and F50 here just sit in the owners driveway on display without getting any use

Yes Japan is an anomaly. Even though they drive on the left, most exotic cars are LHD. The majority new Ferraris have been LHD for many many years.

The current law in New Zealand regarding LHD cars is draconian..... The Basic rule is a LHD car imported to NZ must be converted to RHD (There are ways of using temporary plates for minimal driving) There are a few exceptions, the 2 main ones being as follows: (Government literature)

    Exemption 1

A motor car or goods service vehicle that meets all of the following criteria:
A gross vehicle mass of not more than 3,500 kilograms
Imported by you, for your own personal use
Manufactured less than 20 years before the date it was imported
You have registered, owned and operated the vehicle overseas, for 90 days or more
In a five-year period, you can only register one such vehicle in New Zealand
The vehicle must be registered in the importer’s name (i.e. your name) for at least five years after it’s first registration in New Zealand unless the vehicle is 20 years old or more.

    Exemption 2

A motor car or goods service vehicle that meets all of the following criteria:
A gross vehicle mass of not more than 3,500 kilograms
Imported by you for your own personal use
Was manufactured 20 years or more before the date it was imported
In a 12-month period, you can only register one such vehicle in New Zealand.

Requirements for a light vehicle less than 20 years old when imported

As the importer of the vehicle, you must be resident in New Zealand, at least 15 years of age, and the first registered owner of the vehicle here.
When you register the vehicle for use on New Zealand roads, you’ll need to sign a declaration stating the vehicle is for your personal use and that you intend to keep it for at least five years after its registration in New Zealand, or until it is at least 20 years old, whichever is the earlier.
You’ll also have to provide evidence that you’ve owned and operated the vehicle, and that it was registered in your name, in another country for no less than 90 consecutive days immediately before the vehicle was shipped to New Zealand.
You must sign a declaration that you haven’t registered another vehicle in this category in the last five years.

Requirements for a light vehicle 20 years or older when imported

As the importer of the vehicle, you must be resident in New Zealand, at least 15 years of age, and the first registered owner of the vehicle here.
When registering the vehicle for use on New Zealand roads, you’ll need to sign a declaration stating the vehicle is for your personal use and that you intend to keep it for at least six months after registration.
You’ll be asked to provide evidence of the vehicle’s month and year of manufacture.
You must sign a declaration stating you haven’t registered another vehicle in this category in the previous 12 months.

You were owned Doc, plain and simple. I was one of the people in that thread that was begging you to show where the photo had been previously posted and you couldn't do it, because it wasn't a repost. Own up to it Doc.
It's also hard to own someone when you keep spelling the cards wrong, just something to think about.

This thread went from mike buying an Enzo, to claiming he is a liar and now to vehicle exporting......Amazing how we get off the subject. In my opinion, I don’t think he is NOT telling the truth because he won’t post a simple picture of any of his cars. Why wouldn’t he just post a picture to settle this once and for all? People have a right to be skeptical of such a claim like this. If he is tell the truth then good for him but if not then he doesn’t belong in this forum any other for that matter. Just my 2 cents.

    Hey Mike.

It is not really an ownaage to be wrong, ownaage in my book tends to come when someone is flat out caught being a fraud or lying. I am still pretty sure I have seen those pics before. As had others in that thread, btw. But, yes, I could be wrong.

As for the spelling... hey I never said I was a spelling champ... just funny! (Well, and good looking!!!)

Sorry to go off topic here but,

Shoo, what do you suppose the payments on that thing are?
I remember the whole I'm gonna buy a 6.0 thing but is there a thread somewhere about him buying the car at 19.5% interest?

Since this thread is going everywhere but about Mikes New Enzo. Let's vote to see how many of us believe in Mike’s story:

    Cast Your Vote:
1.) Yes, I think Michael is a very trustworthy man and I think he should get a Nobel Peace Prize.
2.) No, Michael is full of sh*t and deserves the same fate as Sudan Hussein
3.) Maybe, I don’t give a f**k and would rather glance at Brittany’ underpants…. click here

If all else fails, we will send this off to the Myth Buster’s;/
