you lucky devil...i'm planning a trip there next summer! can't wait...hope to see the Zonda replacement then as well...

yes, Zonda F, and now Zonda R for the hardcore wealthy track/collector crowd, for me, the absolute stadard by which ALL super/hyper cars are judged...fit n finish, performance, looks, the whole nine yards... this is THE concept of a dream car... exists in a whole 'nother realm...

yeh, it's hard to understand this from pictures. when you see these cars up close and personal, and tour the "factory" you can really appreciate the quality build and attention to detail. every suspesion part is designed and even colored to match and go with every other part. they are works of art. check out the ostrich skin straps that hold down the engine cover and carbon fibre boxes for the luggage. and don't forget the custom made driving shoes you get with the car. you also get a scale model with the purchase that is made of billet aluminum. By the way, they gave my 10 year old son the tour with me and a really nice color brochure on the cars. How many 10 year olds in the US have that brochure? cool. here is a pic of the lucky boy with brochure in hand. also the ostrich skin straps on the carbon fiber suitcase boxes just in front of the rear wheels.

Here is my only engine shot. only the roadster had the engine cover open and it was hard to shoot the engine under the circumstances. I could have shot those cars all day, but i wanted to get back to the production facility too. They were building two cars at the time. They have a giant autoclave for the body parts and a smaller one for the other parts. we got to watch them laying up the carbon fibre on some smaller parts. everything is carbon fiber. The guy told us they will be rolling out a new model later this year and it will be sold in the us. He said the zonda F coupe was sold out at 25 pieces and the roadster had three left out of 25. said it takes 9 months to build one and they do 18 a year. told me arabs buy 5 at a time and daily drive them. He also showed us a wood model mr. pagani made when he was a kid and the front end looked exactly like the countach. also showed us pics of the concept gallardo he did before leaving lambourghini. the rear looks almost unchanged.

Wetpet, just curious as to them making the cars available in the US. If they can already sell every one that they produce, are they planning on increasing production capacity?

"awful" and "Zonda" don't belong together! can't wait for the new car. i just hope nothing has been compromised to sell a 'world market' car... knowing how US regs can neuter many rides. again, great pics, thanks!

I've seen several Zondas (in MC, not here in the US), and while the styling is controversial (and not entirely to my taste), the fit & finish are just superb. Love the carbon fiber one I saw a couple of years ago in front of the Casino the evening before the Monaco GP- spectacular!
