I think the shoes are wonderful. In fact, its not like the prancing horses are all in everyone else's face. Just a cool touch if you ask me. Worth the $$$.
Come on peeps what's with all the negativities. The shoes is nice, I like. $400 is no pocket change for most, but most ppl wear $75 shoes no? $400 to go with Modena isn't stretching.
Well....I am a JP Tod's shoe addict. All of their shoes are priced very high, but let me tell you that they are the most comfortable shoes that you will ever wear. I bought the shoes for those reasons, and as far as the Ferrari stuff on the shoes....that is an extra bonus. I believe that if you use any item daily, it is well worth to buy something of nice quality since it is used a lot. Some people would never buy shoes that cost over $50. However, why would anyone buy a car that costs over $150,000 (ie. Ferrari)? Same reason applies for shoes. As far as the Ferrari logos and stuff on the shoes, if you wear pants with the shoes, noone will see the Ferrari logos. Only you will know that you have Prancing horse shoes made for Ferrari.
hahahahaha i just burned 200 for a gucci ipod cover. it is fashion, you pay for it. i know, i am the guy in marketing that makes you want to buy those $475 clod hoppers, while i wear my $175 pirelli pzeros to work with $40 anchor blue jeans. btw those shoes are fugly sucka!
Hey now, don't get me wrong. I have no problem unloading for nice clothing. And I do think the shoes are nice -- but as I said -- not to the tune of 400 dollars! They are sneakers, and I don't drop that kind of money on sneakers. A nice set of driving shoes, a nice set of dress shoes, I would expect to pay $400 easily. But sneakers?! Shoes that I know are going to be beaten and abused? I don't think so! Also, you lost about 500 respect points for admitting you own a Gucci iPod cover. Quit being a toolbox!
Pete, It sounds as if we've got the same taste in clothes. Of course, if i'm going someplace nice-----I make sure the t-shirt and jeans are clean.
If you are walking you and others have to have a good eye to see that they are ferrari shoes. There are only 2 little horses on the outside, and the name ferrari, well youre standing on it. No way im paying that much money for those shoes, they look like they are from the 80's. But i hope you like them thats the most important thing.
wow...such a discussion on my new shoes. heh. i just wanted to show people that there are Ferrari shoes made by JP Tod's if anyone would be interested in getting them. that's all
Maybe not the same quality as JP Tod's... But here a few alternatives for under $100... I personally like the Bling Bling of the first one below - F1 Ferrari by Fila Sneakers http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=63850&item=4148878433&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=63850&item=4148986976&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14028&item=2242349491&rd=1
Ah you remember "PF Flyers". I don't like these for that price. Seen hi tech stylish in Nomex for lots less. But I guess these have that "retro" appeal popular w/ the 20 something crowd?
Come on, everyone, what's wrong with you? Hubert - like you, I'm not really sure why the reactions. There's some cars I don't like but when an owner posts a thread about his, I don't tell him I think it stinks. You know that proverbial wisdom: if you don't have anything nice to say... p.s. I love 'em
I was going to order the Fila Schumacher driving shoes until I saw these. If anyone has owned Oakley shoes before, you will understand the comfort & quality. http://oakley.com/catalog/colors/mens/footwear/industrial/oakley_race_boot/black
Well since we are talking about shoes I just ordered the FILA Ferrari sneakers (black) I hope they ll improve my running...hahaha yeah right....
