my GTB turbo #80173 now is at Toni shop in Maranello for a service. Those intercooled two liters turbocharged V8 engines are a small fury: they were introduced in 1986 with 254 Hp and a top speed of 255 km/h. The 1986 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera (who I own too) had 231 Hp and a top speed of 245 km/h, despite being a 3.2 liters.
My #80137 is a 1989 model: in 1989 Porsche introduced his brand new 964 model, with a 3.6 liters flat six engine with 250 Hp, still less than this small beast.

    Ciao

    It looks fantastic Alberto!
I think though that a 964 will be quicker in real life. But who cares! The Ferrari is so much more special.

Thank you, Harry. Yes in every day life the 964 has a big thrust at low RPM, but this small V8 engine becomes a savage beast when it goes over 3500 RPM. This said, the 964 is by far more pleasant to drive in everyday life, but this red thing is much more emotional and it's better looking!

Gorgeous car! I didn’t know they made a turbo variant on the 328 styled chassis. I’m always learning something new on here.

Don't worry, you are not alone: half the world still doesn't know anything about this car.
