IMO The Best 5k I ever spent. What do you think?
BTW John Henry the owner of Eurocar in Shrewsbury NJ was the best and the cheapest. Was dealing with him thru my Mercedes dealer, but as you can see he does his share of F cars.

Great stuff - I like 'em shiny. Nice the way the calipers are peeking out from under as well.

    What sizes on the wheels/tires??

    Cheers

Shiny = too much maintenance to me ;).

I do like the shape of the rims though.

They are stock size 8x18 front, 10x18 rear. I think that's the size on the rear it may be 10.5 its what ever orig was, the front though is .5 wider.

They have clearcoat on them so maintenance is not too much of an issue. This car is not an everyday driver anyway so not too much s**t gets on it.
BTW in the pictures it looks worse than in person, they are not THAT obnoxiously shiny.

Yeah, stock fronts are 7.5 on the 355. Your 8's and 10's are the same as I have on my 348. And mine are shiny, too. Dunno why folks say shiny is more work - I'll tell you more spokes are more work!!!

    Cheers and congrats.

Clear-coat? Wouldn't they just be polished? what kind of advantage do you see from having it clear-coated?

Btw, nice wheels.... HRE and Kinesis make some of the nicest 3-piece forged wheels IMO. (just got a set of Kinesis wheels for my car!)

    Byron,

Clear coat is the way to go if you want this finish. Aluminium oxides as quick as it can and thus most polished wheels have a clear coat.

My club race car had polished rim part of the wheel and it took a lot of work to keep them looking okay. I had the option to clear coat them but didn't go down that route because it was a race car ... for a road car I 100% would, otherwise if you use the car you will be polishing every weekend (until the rim wears through ;)).

    drsrock,

I did not mean that they were obnoxiously shiny BTW ;)

    Pete

Clearcoat protects the surface from oxidation, just like on your car, and illiminates the need to keep polishing them every few months or so especially here in Jersey.

Pete - agreed. I have a set of Simmons FR's with the polished rim on my GP Rally Mustang and they were a b@st@rd to keep nice. Much nicer w/clear coat.

    Cheers

    Pete[/QUOTE]

Pete, it was I who thought they were obnoxiously shiny when I saw these pictures. I felt I needed to explain.

    Thanx, Alex.

  14. They look good but I think 355 wheels are already perfect for the 355.

Those HRE 547R's are awesome! Improve the look of your car dramatically. I just got a set for my Testarossa 3 months ago and everyone that sees them say it makes the car look meaner.

Alex, I have 547's on my BMW and every time I go in the garage they speak to me. I love the look and they are made so beautifully. Mine are not clearcoated and require paste polishing a couple of times a year to keep them shiny. Seems like a lot of people mistake the polished ss for chrome but in person you can see the difference. Great rims.

nice shape but I don't like chrome.. Ruins the look of the Ferrari.. Too flashy..

But hey, if you like them, that's the most important thing.
