Is the hood a different shade of red, or is it just the angles of the pics ?

That is the only flaw with the car. The body is metallic red and the hood, doors, and portions of the engine cover are plastic. But this isn't an elite hw version, again, $30

wait for one from IXO's Ferrari collection. I'm sure they will have one soon. They go for $35 and are really great for the money.

Not the only flaw, the 2 seats are different, that is what really put me off of getting this.

I was thinking the same thing, but after some research i found out that there are actually cars really built this way for the US market. Or at least this was the intention from Ferrari. This may be just another case like with the silver wheels on the FXX.

Hmm, that blue one might end up in my collection now, but why have the elite with the same seats?

Well, this is what has been really pissing me off with HW. Instead of making the Elites better they just try to make the regulars extra crappy. I mean they really put an effort to do it. And I think it is for marketing reasons only. Example- the Mondial has no headliner, but I can bet the Elite would come with it. Save money, some may say. I don't think so, 'cause they already should have a molding ready anyway and as far material goes, they waisted more plastic on the stupid plastic "unscrew-by-hand-thingies" that hold the model to the box.

That is exactly what i think they are doing and it really doesn't make any sense, the only Elite I have so far is the superamerica and it is incredible beyond what they had done in years past but the regular doesn't look like the real thing at all, its pathetic.
