  1. I call the new style of art that I have created “Automotive Fine-Art Photography”, because my vision was to capture the 7-Best Ferrari models ever produced, each in front of a different Renaissance cathedral, and then edit my pieces to present each of my two subject matters in their respective best possible manner, in order to create perfect Balance & Contrast, as well as a feeling of Timeless-Elegance, while making the Ferraris stand out as the main theme of my artworks; using photography as the medium for my creative expression.

My “Conceptual Piece” featuring the Ferrari 458 Speciale in front of the Duomo Vigevano, perfectly presents the power of my vision, as it not only pays homage to the greatest automotive marque of all time, but also to classic Italian architecture from the Renaissance Period. I would go as far as to say that my work perfectly embodies Italian Style & Culture in every sense. The last ever Naturally-Aspirated Ferrari ever produced, in one of the very first piazzas ever built. A modern automotive wonder, in front of a classic architectural masterpiece. In Italy, Ferrari is almost like a second official religion, Catholicism being first; and as you can see, both are perfectly represented in this artwork. Italy is famous for Coffee, Food & Wine, and in this piece you will clearly notice a Café on the left and a Ristorante on the right. Portraying the Ferrari in Full-Colour, and the architectural setting in classic Black & White, helped me achieve the exact look and feel that I was aiming for in my original vision, in a “Surreal” manner. By purchasing one or more of my artworks, you will be able to literally bring the True Essence Of Italy into your home or office.

When you create something this special, it is important that every aspect of the presentation be perfect, which is why I specifically choose to have each piece professionally framed with a 1cm White Mount, surrounded by a 7cm Graphite Mount, surrounded by a 4.5cm Black Wooden Frame. This choice of framing is not only as sophisticated as my artworks themselves, but also adds to the overall presentation of each piece. Quality and Exclusivity are non-negotiable, which is why I will only be producing a Limited Edition of 30-Prints per artwork. I will be returning to Italy in May 2024, in order to capture and create my remaining 6-Artworks; which will feature the LaFerrari, Enzo, F50, F40, 288 GTO and Testarossa.

It's really crazy that you, an "Automotive Fine-Art Photographer" that has little previous work or following prior to this piece, managed to take a photo of this seemingly studio lit Speciale (that is the wrong scale for the background) in front of the Duomo Vigevano at the exact same angle and time of day (notice the shadows) as this shot of it on Wikipedia.

Equally crazy since the licensing requirements of that photo specifically require attribution, which seems to be missing from this post as well as your posts about it on your website, facebook, and instagram:
Further, as the "share alike" term of the license is invoked, it's debatable (and likely legally actionable) whether you can offer this for sale as a limited edition fine art. Even if legally permitted, that provision would allow anyone to freely make and sell additional prints of your "remix" of this work so long as they provide attribution as required by the licensing terms you disregarded when stealing the background photo.

To be clear - are you saying you visited the Duomo Vigevano and parked a Speciale in front of it? Or you grabbed a photo of the Duomo and superposed a catalog photo of the Speciale? 12. Hi Sqweak, I must admit that my first feeling when I read your reply to my post was insulted, but then I realised it was actually a compliment, because if my work looks so good that it looks super imposed to anyone, then I am able to take better photographs than I thought I do.

I'm glad you mentioned lighting and time of day. Have a look at the way the sun hits the cathedral and the umbrellas at the Restraunt and Cafe, and then look at shadows that sunlight created. Then look at the angle that the sunlight hits the 458 Speciale and the shadows the car crates. Clearly the sun was at the very same angle, as it was one photgraph taken at one moment, not 2 photographs combined as you suggested. I know in America you don't use meters and centimeters like we do here in South Africa, so you may not understand the size of my artwork. How could I print my artwork to this size, without losing any clarity; if I created my artwork using pics I took off the internet? I always only upload Low-Res pics to the internet, so I assume that most people do. As such, it would be impossible to print a photograph to 633.5cm x 70.34cm and be as clear as my artwork is at that size.

You are right to say that I don't have previous work online or a bigger following, but that is because although I did art as a subject throughout my 12-Years at school, I never chose to follow a career in art. As a professional car salesman of 24-Years, I have probably taken around a million car photographs in my life, and even much more photographs of other things; but I have never tried to market any of the photographs I took before this. Take my age of 49 this year into account, and work out how much experience I have using a camera. Take my height of 6ft into account, then look at my photograph. I was standing only 3 to 5m in front of the Ferrari when I took this photograph, and the Ferrari was a good 60m away from the cathedral in the background. Have you ever been to the piazza Ducale? Clearly not, because then you would know that it is more than 100m long, so the persepective of the car vs the cathedral is actually natural, not fake at all.

You do realise that internet wasn't out when I was at school and I have honestly never even taken a single computer course in my life, which is why my website looks amateurish, because I built it myself on Microsoft publisher. I do not have photoshop and I have never used photoshop, so I am not even sure how it works. Just one question, if I had created this photograph as you claim I did, why would I be going back to Italy to create the other 6 artworks I have planned? I took this photograph in 2017, and I only came up with the idea to edit it this way late in 2021. I was at the piazza Ducale for lunch, I saw the car there and I went to take the pic, it was completely spontaneous and lucky that the car was there, parked in that spot and at that angle. When I go back to Italy in May however, I will be arranging the vehicles myself, and once I have chosen the buildings for the 6-artworks I have planned, I will park them all at the same angle as this one was parked, as it just works so well and naturally as I would like to have uniformity to my collection.

You are welcome to meet me in Italy and watch me take my photos, maybe then you will be able to comprehend how well I actually take photographs. I know that there is a lot of people using AI and things nowadays, but I'm simply too Old School to figure any of that stuff out! I won't bother to reply to all the other people who commented to your reply, as I have explained everything here to you now, which they can read too. And as for coming here to try to sell, I have no intention on selling abroad, because shipping a framed artwork would be crazy expensive I'm sure, not to mention the high risk of the glass breaking. I only posted my work here, as I was proud of what I created, but naturally regret it now; because I forgot to account for the amount of trolls online, who love to insult people, because they don't have the ability to create anythinjg original themselves; so resort to finding a modern day, logical explanation for how people must have created things, using technology that they would have to use to do anything in life. Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't live online, I live in the real world, with a real camera, an analog watch to keep the time, and I still drive only manual cars (stick shift in American) to get where I am wanting to go.

I deleted the link to your website which was on your profile. Again, zero self promotion unless sponsor. It didn't take me very long to see that you are indeed selling your artwork. "29 of 30 Limited Edition Prints of my "Conceptual Piece" artwork are currently still available. Visit my website to have a better look, then contact me directly for Availability & Pricing!"

Wait, did OP actually try to defend that obvious photoshop?? I mean, both pics found on the internet of the place and the car are 100% the same photos blended in his ‘artwork’. Is he trying to say that ‘his photo’ is the biggest coincidence in the history of Earth and mankind?

    My mistake, obviously.

Simply post some behind the scenes outtakes of this shot to prove us all wrong. No, not this same shot in color, sepia, and whatever other edit revisions you’ve posted on your socials, but actually different shots, at different angles. Some out of focus. Someone walking through the shot. Yknow, all the things that happen when you’re shooting on location. Surely you would have those, because who goes halfway around the world to photograph a once in a lifetime artistic creation like a supercar in front of landmark and only has the one perfect shot destined to sold as fine art?
