    very nice!
funny, i was considering doing the same thing (getting a muscle car to "hold me over" until I can get a 458). Any advice on how/where to find a clean 69 z28??

If I had the garage space, I'd have one very much like this.
    Congrats. I love this car.

Thank you all for the kind comments, greatly appreciated. I sat in the car in my garage last night, relishing in the history, looking at the tags on the original seat belts, the humor in the original owners manual, the absurdity of the skinny steering wheel and wide spaced 3 pedals. I nearly slept in the car! (I suppose one's first FCar is similar experience...I keep waiting for that one).

I attended the Hot August Nights classic cars auction (Silver Star auction) in Reno last weekend, held every year. Hundreds of cars go thru, Hemi's, Shelby's, 40's-80's cars. This car was redone, wonderful shape, to weekend car quality (vs show or daily driver). The color scheme was unique (not stock), and engine, undercarriage, bay, trunk were all prepped and very clean to near new status.
There are a lot of places in TX and OR that sell muscle cars, lots of Z28's out there, but be preparred for the $100k price tag of those collectibles.
My fav of the show was a 68 Mustang California Special, but rare 1 of 50 with Shelby HiPo 289 engine. Black, striking. Bid went to 70, but his reserve was $85k, no sale.

I picked up this Camaro to have some fun on weekend at the local Calabasas (SoCal) cars n coffee.

    Scud trades welcomed. ;)
