I got a clutch master cylinder and the fork seems to be a little short. I already threw away the old master (that was stupid) so I took a look at the Ricambi site. The fork, 170627, is listed for $500. A simple metal fork. I just fell out of my chair.

So, I am going to weld an M8 nut to the fork to make it longer. That by itself paid for the welder.

Another couple of jobs would pay for the TIG :)

I have a small MIG/flux core welder mainly for exhaust and other around the house stuff (just welded my BIL's mower deck saving him $300). I don't bother with the gas shielding unless it's something structural or I want it to be pretty. It paid for itself the first time I had to do some exhaust work on my Jeep.

I have a buddy with a Miller TIG, so if I need anything serious welded or aluminum (or want it to be really pretty), I just take it to his house.
