Hmm, well, Im from Blackpool and I run a Griff 4.3, which is rarer, faster and looks a hell of a lot better inside and out than a 348. Ive got a 997TT on order for '06 (and yes that was a 997, not 996) and with a bit of luck I should be able to pick up the 512BB this yr that I had originally planned doing last yr before the accident. So that takes care of the snobbery.

As for the need. Well for a start it depends on the car, tech used and the engine & amount of torque it is putting down. With modern syncho Ill happily agree there just isnt really the need to ddc these days. With less modern syncho or just a plain lousy box, then ddc'ing is a lot more useful. Hands up all those who have suffered from Ferrari 2nd gear when its cold syndrome ? Anybody who's had to play in a pre 80's Fezza I would hazard a guess.
Heel n toeing though? Well compulsary for fast, safe road work in my book, whether hevy or light braking, the whole slowing down/speeding up process is just quicker. For none fast work, the whole HnT, ddc together process is just a more pleasurable driving experience.

Its got nowt to do with snobbery and whos got what and who can do what it was a sensible debate about t&h I was not refering to the348 on my profile i have others but was not going down that road I wont be commenting on this any more .I bow to your superior knowledge ! ZYMOL348
