This watch is better than what I ever expected. Amazing detail and sharp looking. It feels solid and is 6 oz with the strap (which has a deployment). What I didn't realize until I got it is that the winding crown screws down into a grove so that the prancing horse is always upright in relationship to the watch. There is a yellow marker actually set into the crown for orientation. The chrono pusher are also screwed in place. You unsrew the sleeve to use the button. Very nice indeed. PM me if you want details as I have a great source. Andrew

nowdays replicas are great stuff, maybe every bit as good as the originals...

Kinda weird the panerai-Ferrari relationship but beautifully executed watch...

is it automatic? chinese movement? japanese? swiss?

I´ve always wondered If I could contact one of those watch makers adn get a ferrari watch WITH MY OWN DESIGN instead of one from them...

Panerai are Swiss movements - they use ETA for most, I believe. I have a Luminor Marina - very nice watches. They pay homage to their own designs, but I wouldn't call them replicas. They make both manual movements (for the Historic series) and automatics for most of the others. The complex chronos like the one shown are all automatics.

Panerai-Ferrari makes sense, IMO, seeing as Panerai has a long Italian history (most famously with the Royal Italian Navy).

EDIT: Well, it says 'Automatic' on the face, so that's usually a tipoff... ;)

...I thought it was a replica...never seen a panerai with a Ferrari theme, and I thought Panerai-Ferrari was a far fetched relation...

Panerais are beautifull hand made watches dont get me wrong, I never thought it could be the real deal...

Thats why I asked about it being automatic...replicas will read AUTOMATIC and jump tic tac instead of sweep...I bought all sorts of replica watches in my time...I had all those tag heuer cheap replicas when I was in school, all kinds of rolex submariner that will last for 3 months running...I have a shoe box full of broken watches, I´m a collector but all my pieces are now original.

if my assuption was wrong, and that´s a real panerai watch, I appologize for being so harsh, and If it´s a fake, well is a very well craftted piece...I could almost buy one....naaa...I had enough of replicas a long time ago

    Peace

Yes, . . they are some nice replicas out there.

Please don't quote me, but I
think that this model is around
    $ 8,000 USD.

    http://luxurybazaar.com/

has them. They are a sponsor for Ferrari Chat.

    Good luck.

It is a great looking watch and feels quite substantial - almost 6 oz. I even wore it today while driving my Porsche cab (I love LA!).

First of all, classified ads can only go into www.ferrariads.com.

Second, everyone realizes you are selling a fake watch, don't they?
