Yes, I know, this is a Ferrari forum ! Most of you will already know something about it. I have to make a website for school and the subject has to be a club or something like that. I've contacted the Lotus Club of Belgium, but as they weren't very helpfull and enthousiast, I've searched for something else. So I contacted the 'Vlaamse Ferrari Vrienden', but they refused... Damn... I had a lot of opportunities, but I wanted to make a site about what I really love. As Pr0n wasn't allowed, it had to be cars But still nothing and time was ticking away... And suddenly, it al came right. I contacted somebody that races in the Belcar, one of the most known Belgian racing series. They race with a Porsche 996 GT3 which is modified to a 996 GT3 'RS'. They just started searching for a webdesigner... So we came to an agreement in a few minutes. Currently they are preparing for the upcoming season that starts on 09/04 at Spa-Francorchamps. There are 7 races: 5 of them on the circuit of Zolder, one at Spa-Francorchamps and one on the Lausitzring in Germany. The target is podium finishes and a silent dream... the title. It's possible, but the competition is very hard The car has just been painted, next monday are they going to put the advertisements on it. As I didn't want money and they didn't want to give money, we've made a great deal. I get free advertisements on the car for my personal website ! The owner of the team also has a Ferrari 360 Modena and he already invited me for a ride ! One of the sponsors has a 348 too. I'll keep you updated, if you like it or not Jeroen

So yesterday was the unveiling of the car. It had to be MY evening. I've made a movie to introduce the car, worked about 6 hours on it, worked perfect, great music, very flashy and yet again, I was full of respect for myself. So we went to the dealer where the unveiling was. I was pretty nervous, about 80 people would see my movie. Before the doors opened for the guests, I tested the movie, everything worked fine. Doors open, +- 1 hour having a drink, eating something, you know it... Then the moment were I had been waiting for. But then it didn't work anymore... So the movie wasn't showed yesterday evening at all and my work had been for nothing. Later it did work, but then the car was already shown, so nobody didn't care anymore for my movie. So the evening was pretty ****. No movie, HUGE discussions with my dad, my ads are even more smaller then I thought, and most of my pics are pure CRAP. Now you don't want to see me... Sad, mad, angry all the time. Too bad the movie didn't work when it was supposed to Jeroen But you still made a great deal and had some nice contacts! Is your logo only visible on the roof of the car or also somewhere else?
So... a little late Saturday, it's already the second round of the championship at the circuit of Zolder First race at Spa-Francorchamps was both good and bad. The good part: we qualified on P16, but with a good start, some drivers going off, pace-cars... we drove for a while on P1 till we made the pitstop. Returned back on the track on P5 and just got passed at the finish. So P6 wasn't after all that bad. The bad news: they had to put 'something' (don't know how to say in English ) on the exhaust to make it less noise. That made the car slower then expected, so after the race, they've put the car on a dyno and they saw that the car had lost 70 BHP. Now they installed a new exhaust and they 'only' lose 20 BHP. They crashed ! We qualified on P22. Didn't knew what went wrong, so we could only hope for a better race. The start was good, P17 after one lap. There was A LOT of rain, thunder, lightning... Laptimes were great and on half the race, we were second in our class! But one lap before the scheduled pitstop, the car crashed The driver lost control of the car under braking and started slipping. Probably, the front of the chassis is damaged, suspension too... Hopefully the car will be back in good shape for the upcoming race in Germany. 2 months to go... Cool pics Jeroen! Thanks for sharing. Sad news about the crash! Hope the car isn't too damaged. BTW: that 430 spider, it has different plates front to back!? Seems like it's that 430 Spider from Derdaele Racing Team? Make sure that the sun shines at the next race!
Don't know why they did that with the license plates. Belgium Racing is the name of the team. Derdaele is a sponsor (vastgoed/immobiliën) I think. Maybe the owner of Belgium Racing is also the owner of Derdaele?
