    I’ve driven Brands Hatch in the Asseto Corsa Competitizione game hundreds of times on my Fanatec sim setup during lockdown. So was hoping Fanatec would have sims available as the headline sponsor. Nowt there though ?!? They missed a trick there.

    Time for a road trip.

    Ultimately My Portofino is going home. But first we have a few stops on the way.

    And this is always the start line for me. 2000 miles planned.

    Tunes for today are Caravan Palace (quirky but great road music when you’ve got miles to do).

    Today we cut across northern france (calais to Rouen) and down to Le Mans for the Classic.

    Factory tour included usual production areas and the V8 lines as the 4x4 was on the v12 line (got to see one close up driving around the site in camp). F1 area was busy with Carlos’s car being taken apart and Charles winning car and Trophy. Corse clienti new building was super.

    Hi - thought all factory tours were still cancelled? (that's what the dealers are saying).

    The European Tour has been planned for a while, but factory tours only started to open up circa 3 weeks ago.

    Our group had two separate tours arranged by two different dealers and the confirmations where received very close to the day.

    Covid does appear to be continuing to cause issues (particularly in Italy) but the factory did insist on face masks.
