Hey BigTex, Yes, you can send PM's, emails etc. I have loads of parts to sell-out By the way - my chassis is outsourced right now, being dry-ice blasted. Looking so much forward to get it back. When back and after some further cleaning, the chassis will be outsourced again for roll-cage fit. Morten
That's pretty much all the way naked.....it's your turn Morten, you were going to take a picture of it before shipping.... Thanks for kind words about my "other matter" also.....life indeed goes on.....
Yeahhh yeahh.... I am soooo slow at the moment (officially far too busy) I better heaten up my camera soon... Happy to hear that life goes on.
I never heard of dri-ice blasting, but it sure seems to have worked. Is it expensive compared to sand-blasting?
I learn something everytime I check in on this thread. Brilliant, painstaking work! I'll be even more interested as the engine development gets a bit further! Best of everything in your project, rt
Well, dry-ice blasting is quite good to remove dirt, glue etc. To get to the bare metal, you either sandblast or you steam wash at 2000 bar ! What we did was dry-ice blasting, then cleaning with rotary tools and then a final "light" blast with sand. Finally a protection primer with welding capabilities. Yes dry-ice is expensive, about three times up compared to sand blasting.
Thanks! This is a massive project you've got going here! It's good to see you're now at the putting things together phase, it's looking great!
i'm bot familiar w/ dry ice blasting- but i have had corvettes "media" blasted in the past stripping it down to bare fiberglass w/ no damage to the fiberglass itself

Don't think this project is possible to realise during a weekend or two... count with 1500 working hours. Think twice before you start any similar projects, however I am very pleased with our progress Image Unavailable, Please Login
