So it's come to the point that the only reason I watch The Car Show is to hear Matt Farah say something worth listening to. I can tell he's actually interested in perusing legitimate automotive commentary but is only stifled by the others' anecdotal, pointless humor. John Salley really seems like he wants to contribute, and his comparisons and notes seem perfectly valid to the conversations at hand. With more auto-knowledge on his back, he'd be even better. But it's the other two that make me roll my eyes watching it...

The show hasn't been on that long, and I'm already sick of Adam Carolla's sarcastic, often in-bad-taste humor. He's as close to the "annoying drunk guy" as I'm comfortable with watching on TV. ANYTHING Carolla offers is complete filler "I'm trying to be funny" humor and takes away from any interesting facts being presented. His "coverage" of the New York Auto Show was just ****ed to say it kindly.
Dan Neil, the WSJ journalist who won the Pulitzer for Criticism is annoyingly pretentious, and his smile makes me nauseous. I've never seen a person tell another that their wrong with such arrogant class. The closest he should come to judging anything at Pebble Beach, is deciding which club to hand a member... The combination of being too smart for your own good and articulate often yield a mouth-fitted shoe.

Because of poor writing, the interviews with otherwise VERY interesting auto personalities ANYBODY who knows something about cars would LOVE to hear valid points from are far too short and never informative enough....

Give us more car INFORMATION and criticism. Talk about the topic with KNOWLEDGE and educate! Please, tell those who are very learned in all things automotive something they don't know. Or at least make an effort.

Top Gear syndrome... I was saddened when I was watching an old episode of Top Gear from season 4 and how it was actually a car show back then.

It seems every car show has to have hyperbole and sarcasm now, and that makes most of them very annoying.

I think 5th Gear is one of the few actual car shows out there, once they dropped the fat guy they have improved and I enjoy watching and actually getting facts and information.
