    Hey guys,

I am considering purchasing an F430 Spider 06' with 500 miles for $300,000.

    1. Do you guys think that this is a fair price
    2. How does the resale value of this car vary with that of a similar one of later model year/are there are changes between the 06' MY and 08' MY.. thank you so much

What are the options on the car?

The only difference would be the increase in standard equipment versus optional ones.......and of course the concurrent increase in the msrp.

As for resale value goes the more options and the better kept the car is the more it hold it's value over the next few years...MY01's are selling at MSRP 7 years later for example with good records and high pedigree...Being a Ferrari Chat sponsor I was wonder did you happen to see my 2006 only 625 miles, and only $290,000: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=193122

    Red/Cuoio
    $239k MSRP
    620 miles
    Shields
    CS rims
    Brake Calipers in scuderia red
    Leather rear bench
    Stitching in red
    Roll Bar in leather
    Yellow Dials
    Power seats
    Daytona Seats
    Piping in special color
    Integrated radio Navigation with Bluetooth
    Battery Charger
    Hi-Fi with Subwoofer
    MY07 Radio

Dear Stoopsdude: The price that you are considering paying for the 06 is ridiculous. I just paid $269,000 for an 07 430 Spider with 900 miles. More importantly, my car was loaded with options including $10,000 for all the carbon fiber and $15,000 for the ceramic brakes. Please call Rick Scourtas at Ferrari of New England. Tell him that Barry Lehman told you to call. He will give you a far better deal on a 430 Spider. They have a red and beige 08 that you can likely buy for far less than 300K. Good luck. +1. For an 06, you are at least $20K over market.

Wow, I think this is the second thread I've seen in the same week of someone involved with an overpriced F430 spider. I believe I saw someone on here trying to sell theirs for $290k and it was an 07 with 500 miles on it and not many options. It didn't even have power daytona's in it either so I'm not sure of that one selling for that much. As far as I'm concerned, you might wanna expand your search a bit more. There's plenty more 430 spiders out there for much less with more options. Because $300k for an 06 is outrageous without it even having carbon ceramics. The 430 spider Chris from Premier Motorcars posted doesn't look too shabby either.

Right now wholesale is then $15k over market..feel free to call around...Not trying to rain on anybody perade, or question what another member paid..but you can search right here on Fchat over the past few days this topic has been talked about, and people for MY06's are paying $285k+ When I spoke to FoNE this morning even about my car, we all are priced around the same...The average price for MY06-MY08 $289k-$315k...I am a buyer on all low miled 430's in the mentioned price range of $250-$296k....The reason for my post here, well just like the 360, there is a idea that prices "should be" but very few are, and when they are found, there is underlying relationships involed, that alot Fcars buyers do not have...A broad statement that these cars can be bought for less then wholesale, like 360 shoppers right now, will cause disappontment and a long search...Now later today, I will know if my car is truly priced $20k too high or the car in question, I will do this by searching my database..But last week we ware in line and if I find out that we over priced then we will make adjustment...like I said I am not trying to rain on anybodys perade or question what another member paid...

Not to question the validity of your post.............but at 269k with those mentioned options isn't your car right around msrp?? Of course I am assuming a very very well optioned car here.

You may be right, I just happen to think I could get an 06 for $280K or less. Maybe you wont sell me one, but somebody else will. :)

I have found that most of the time what I really want isn't cheap. Buy what you really want.

Thank goodness for Fchat!! You guys just saved the original poster from being suckered into a deal which really wasn't a deal at all. Hopefully you can find a car priced right.

Right now Miller Motorcars has an 07 6-speed in stock. If you want give Werner a call and if he can't help you out call Chris Miele at Ferrari of Central NJ. Its a bit further away then Miller but can be well worth it.

They're out there for around $260 aplenty, just have to look.

The market on these cars is going to keep sliding, especially with a new model coming out. One year from now you'll be able to pick up a 430 spider for about $200K-$220K is my guess.
