Z-Tejas - my UT student's favorite upscale Mex restaurant
Matt's El Rancho - one of the most famous Tex-mex around, and potent margarita's.
Bullock Museum of Texas
Pete's Dueling Piano Bar on 6th street - great sing along fun.
Carmello's on 5th street - Great Italian
County Line Barbecue - too much food for 1

Day trips to Fredericksburg or San Antonio
Austin is a great young person town, and I know she will love it.
