Thanks to ferrarip4 for setting the tone, thought I'd add my .02:

Lots of 288 GTO, 355 and Scuderia in there (with that "kink" at the c-pillar); I know its not very revolutionary...

Did it down and dirty (sorry about the notebook lines.)

    Yes, well done.

Interesting how it's not so mid-engined looking. For a presumably mid-engined car, that is.

Nice .... don't hate me, but it even has a little Lamo Gallardo in there (Stance wise - at least to me), which would be perfect for those who can't decide ... ;-)

Bravo!...Thats great work. Keep going...you have great talent!...I can't wait to see it with wheels...perhaps window tint...exhaust...nice touch with the GTO vents behind the rear wheel arch.

It doesnt look too Gallardo to me imo...the window arch is very "Skyline GTR-ish". Try some Prismacolor markers...they work fantastic for renderings.

If you really wanted it to be more like a new Ferrari you should have thought RX-8, NSX, STI, IS, 350Z and Supra

Thanks for the replies guys. I thought about it some more over the weekend and couldn't sleep last night; so here is a design update. I decided to get the lines down in Adobe illustrator, tried to nail the proportions down to a 'production level' scale. I think the current design philosophy at Ferrari is just too Japanese for my taste; not Italian enough. I was hoping to nail some more of that Dino-DNA this round (no Jurassic Park-pun intended :) )

    Gray Blend indicates intakes/vents.
    Blue indicates body crease.

Looks like a 355 and a 360.... They'd wanna go back further. I think it looks cool and Italian, as it should! :)

    Nice work.

I'd personally like to see a much more aggressive visual change. Like the 355 to the 360. Which seems like it would be expect looking from the 348-->355 then 360-->430-->more dramatic design.

Looks very nice, but a bit too retro imho. I think it's difficult for a company like Ferrari who's always been the avantgarde of car design to reuse too much of the old styling, even if it is very beautiful (like your design surely will be).

I agree that it isn't very revolutionary, this is probably more of what I wish it 'was' rather than what I wish it 'will be.' -- I'll push the envelope further... (Hopefully Pininfarina will get it right ;))
