    Are you finished???

Internet graphics are pretty widespread...I'll bet we can find some more.

Rob did not invent Ferraris.....Jay did not invent Lamborghinis.

Rob has formed Fchat into a Paid Membership operation..JRV had an Open Forum. BOTH rely on unpaid volunteers for assistance, as near as I can determine..(Moderators)

IMO they are two different approaches, as Rob has made no secret of the fact he would like THIS site to support him in the manner to which he is accustomed, while JRVs site runs in the background of his Repair Facility, and has always been secondary to his putting food on the table.

I cannot speak to anyone's AGENDA for thread formation and posting, but only observe this is Rob and Jay crowing today about their wonderful world... while JRs site has been significantly altered by ????? (who knows).

I suppose if someone volunteers graphics to a business operation, or friend, they are free to 'take the marbles back and go home' if the relationship sours.
But much like a Divorce, it is an excellent gauge of character how much 'collateral damage' occurs to others, when it occurs.

Rob will go on building this site. JR will go on repairing exotic cars.

I suppose those that want to, will continue to post on that blank white screen 'over there'.............and here as well.

I wouldn't be too quick to pick a winner, as this site has experineced instability as well. The world COULD end tomorrow!!!!! Or not..........

Character: It's how you act when no one's watching...............

OK Jeff and Travis. Thanks for your contributions to this thread, but about now further discussion between the two of you should go offline. No big deal, just the rest of us don't want to hear beyond what has already been said.

This thread has about died off, Jay got a censor free platform to tell his side of the story. We got more reinforcement why I and many others handle JRV the way we do. Story over.

The word you are really looking for is 'actionable'.....Maybe Jim G. could help you with that as it relates to Internet postings.

It's pretty new, compared to the Legal concepts of Slander and Libel.

I think the internet actually compares closer to the howling of jackals and hyenas out on the African veld.........as the wind blows out across the Sahara.

It doesn't really MEAN a d@mned thing, unless someone gets benefit from it.
If someone is actually hurt (??) from it, I suppose you could call in the attorneys..........

Who are ya Tex? I don't know if we have met.

Not too many reasons to hide your identity, I'm sure you have a good one though. I would appreciate a PM.

There is no difference between the business model of JRV and I. Both receive revenue from commercial advertisers and user contributions. Mine are in the form of OPTIONAL subscriptions, while JRV asks for donations.

Let me familiarize myself with you a little more. To this day I've never done FerrariChat.com full time. While JRV turns wrenches to put food on the table, I have a full time professional job to put food on the table. FerrariChat.com started as a hobby and I was happy with only 200 users, the site is growing beyond those original hobby goals. As I have said many times before, either FerrariChat.com goes back to a hobby level or if the World demands FerrariChat.com to continue its 1,000 user a month growth, then it better put food on the table. I don't have the energy for two full time jobs. What's better than doing something you love so much as a job? That's why I would choose FerrariChat.com over my other job in a second, but my other job isn't half bad either.

Does anyone see this as a knock on me?

Yes, when JRV was a user of this site. :D Luckily the instability left with him. Coincidence?

I don't know how JRV does it. Things run pretty smooth here with over 12,000 users. How can he deal with the constant drama within such a small community?
