Although, there is an FChat member who is currently trying to sell his 1000hp Lingenfelter-built C6 Corvette and is having a helluva time. Even after it was featured in the June 2006 issue of Motor Trend. Go figure. The build price is well over $225k and the guy is only asking $160k. Still won't sell for some reason.

 

I think you're correct. It's an extremely fast car, built by one of the (if not the) finest Vette tuner around, but at the end of the day it's a $160,000 Corvette. I don't think his price is off, and I think his car is amazing, but the line of buyers for $160,000 Corvettes isn't a very long one.

 

It's not. But he should get ahold of Richard Berry who is an avid Corvette collector.

 

There it is. That and you can build a brand new viper for $120k that will lay wood to that vette in every arena, and look good doing it.

IMO LPE has really gone downhill since they lost John, and I think a lot of people realise that.

true its only a VEt and the body changed already so who would want it?

 

Why not just take the turbo set up off the car, sell it as stock and put the turbo on the spider?

 

OR going even further.. buy the spyder and swap. I know Wayne's G has internal mods to accompany the snails so it wouldn't be an easy apply-turbo-to-new-car deal.

Yes. A Vette is still a Vette even if it has 1000hp. I rather have a 395hp 360 for 160k.

Not looking to offend or anything to you or XP1 but are you guys brand whores or elitists? A stock vette, ok I can see your point, or even a slightly modded vette, the Ferrari experience will still be greater, etc. But while I havent personally ridden in this 1k hp vette. I'd be willing to bet money that a 1k hp lingfelter experience is going to outweigh this stock 360 and esp a stock 355 by a long shot.

I wouldn't buy the 1,000 horsepower vette either, but I don't like vettes much. I'd take a 1,000hp ferrari though this I have heard has been done.
